20 Cropped Jeans for Regular and Petite Sizes

Happy Monday, friends! I have been living in my Rag & Bone cropped flare jeans ever since the summer, but I’ve only recently been asked about them a ton. Cropped flares were really popular a couple years ago and while I don’t think they’re as trendy as before, there’s still a good amount of you who are looking for a pair. I happen to still really love the style. For me, they’re a little more elevated than your basic skinny jean and more flattering than the straight/mom jean style. The only problem, finding a pair that fits your body is HARD.

I’m actually still on the hunt for another pair of cropped flare jeans. While I love the Rag & Bone pair I’m wearing here, I wouldn’t mind finding a pair that’s high waisted. I will do a dedicated post on why high waisted jeans are so important for petites, but the gist, they elongate your legs. They’ve been a game changer for me this last year. Anyway, today I’m sharing 10 of my favorite cropped flare jeans for petites and regular sizes (20 total). Keep in mind, if you want to cut a DIY hem for cropped flares, you need to buy a pair with a large flare. That’s what I did with the jeans I’m wearing. They had a really large flare, so I knew when I cut the hems, I wouldn’t completely loose the flare. I’ve done this with plenty of cropped flares with a small flare and I’ve lost the flare completely :(. Also, when buying cropped flare jeans, know your inseam. I’m normally a 24″ to 25″ inseam in skinny jeans and after cutting these, the inseam is 22″. Most petite cropped flare jeans are still too long on me, so I typically don’t buy petite unless I know it has a shorter inseam. For those 5’4″ and above, I would recommend even checking out petite sizes when shopping for any cropped jeans. They may end up hitting at the perfect spot.
