Anthropologie Petites

I’ve known about Anthropologie petites for a while, but for some reason never really jumped on board until recently. I think I shied away from the brand because I thought they were too feminine for my style, but also because every time I went on the site, my sizes were sold out. After having a couple pieces sent to me, I must say, I’m hooked. The petite xxs fits extremely well and the quality has been very nice so far. Now, if I can just stay on top of their new arrivals, so I can snag my size before it sells out.

Another great thing about Anthropologie, it seems like everything on the site is very unique to the brand with an almost vintage flair. It’s always nice to be able to find things you don’t see at every retailer. As for the feminine thing – I’ve actually been embracing it this year. It’s almost like a challenge to me to try to figure out how to make it work with my style. I recently ordered this dress and posted it on Instagram Stories to get feedback. There were a couple no’s, but most of you thought the dress was super cute and could be edged up with the right accessories. Stay tuned to see how I style it…

On to these outfits. I fell in love with this denim jacket the second I saw it. It’s soft, but structured, which happens to be my favorite. I believe this jacket only comes in petite xs, so it’s slightly big, but still works. The lace is the perfect little touch, too. I can’t wait to wear it with denim cut offs and throw it over simple dresses in the summer. I also tried a gingham dress from Anthro, which looked more body hugging online than it is in person. It definitely has that sack-like look to it (dresses Mike hates). It’s too bad because it’s adorable and fits extremely well. With that being said, I think if you add a hat, pair it with flat sandals, and a straw tote, you could still make it work. And lastly, the ruffle sleeve short sleeved blouse. A statement piece in a subtle color, a combination I tend to gravitate toward. I couldn’t tell from the photos the neck of the shirt ran wide, which is not my favorite, but besides that, it’s adorable. If you don’t have neck issues like I do, it’s a great go-to top for spring and summer (it runs wider and shorter than it appears online).

You’ve seen me try on this eyelet top here, this ruffle top here, this wrap top here, and this bell sleeve top here. I also recently ordered this gingham dress, this floral lace blouse (worn here), and this lace blouse (runs big). Like I mentioned above, I’m hooked! For reference, not everything I own from Anthropologie is petite. I can wear some regular sized tops in an xs. As you can tell, I’m super excited to see what the brand comes out with (or stocks) for spring and summer. Let’s just hope for more petite options and sizes!
