It’s officially been 4 weeks since getting back into my workouts and I must say, it feels amazing. We’ve been going about 2-3 times per week for 1-1.5 hour sessions. Yes, I’m already seeing my body change, but the most important part, I’m feeling 100% better mentally. Making time for yourself (for whatever it may be) is extremely important and something I’m slowly learning. I can’t stand doing cardio in the gym, so we’re mostly sticking to weight training. We will superset exercises to help get my heart rate up, but when the weather gets better, we will start to incorporate our track workouts. Let me know if you’re interested in exactly what exercises we’re doing or if you would like me to share our workouts on here or Instagram Stories. I will say, having a partner to workout with is one of my biggest motivators and what keeps me going every week. Something to think about if you’re struggling with your workouts.

Now that I’m working out regularly I’ve had the perfect excuse to shop for new workout clothes. I haven’t done the bulk of the shopping yet, but I did pick up a few new sports bras and tanks. We also had the opportunity to stop into the Nike Employee Store in Beaverton and I scored big with the Nike Rally Funnel Neck sweatshirt. Everything in the store ran pretty big except this sweatshirt. I love the clean design, large collar, and the amazing fit. The arms run short and tight, so I would recommend sizing up. I don’t really wear this to workout, but it’s a great piece to lounge around in at home or run errands. Lastly, I have to talk about my new Nike Air Haurache sneakers. They honestly feel like you’re walking on clouds – so soft and lightweight. I’ve been wearing them to workout (not to run) and pairing them with my athleisure looks. I love how sleek and chic they are. I already want them in every color!

I’m going to do a post on all my workout must-haves soon, so stay tuned.
