As I’m sure you’ve seen from my Instagram, we had another 6-8 inches of snow last week. They’re saying this is the most snow the Portland area has seen since the 80’s. Crazy, right? We had been stuck in the house from Wednesday-Friday and the cabin fever was REAL. We also didn’t do a good job in stocking up on groceries, so you could imagine all the things we were craving lol. To make the most out of the situation, we got outside and snapped a couple photos. While extremely inconvenient, the snow has been absolutely gorgeous. We walked down our block and stumbled upon this beautiful backdrop. It’s still so surreal that we live here and this is right outside our house. We knew Oregon would be different from California, but I don’t think we were expecting this much change. With that being said, we love experiencing all the seasons. We’ll take the good, bad, and ugly.

I had some questions about wearing my Hunter boots in the snow. I love how easy they are to walk in, but you most definitely need thick socks. I have the Hunter fleece welly boot socks, but forgot to wear them, so my toes were pretty cold. They also don’t have any traction on the bottom of the boots, so if you’re walking on ice, you have to be very careful. On fresh powdered snow, you’re good to go.
