Trend: Overalls

Remember when we talked about overalls a couple months ago and I was still very weary? Well, things have changed, lol. I’m kind of obsessed. I still don’t think overalls are for everyone. It’s one of those trends, unless you fully own it, you may end up looking like a farmer stuck in the 90’s. What really made me become a believer, trying on the perfect pair.

I had been lusting over these cropped flare overalls from Abercrombie & Fitch for a while. I finally gave in when they were 20% off or so and I’m so happy I did because they’re perfection! They’re super soft and comfortable, yet form fitting and flattering. They have a classic shape, which is actually hard to find these days. The length was slightly long, so I ended up cutting them maybe an 1” or 1 ½”, but since they had the multi colored hem, it looks like they came like that.

I love pairing my overalls with more feminine tops, just to create some balance, but no joke, these can be worn with so many pieces. I’ve worn them with a striped tee and leather jacket (see this post) and with a ruffle sweater and heels (see this post). I’m waiting for the weather to warm up to pair them with an off-the-shoulder top, so stay tuned for that. Again, I know overalls are not for everyone, but hopefully I can inspire some of you who have been thinking about jumping on board. Find the perfect pair and run with it. You will thank me later.
