Fall is officially here in the PNW and I’ve been loving every second of it. It’s probably the first week since getting back from California that it has legitimately felt like we’ve said goodbye to summer and hello to autumn and all our knits and coats. Everyone has said, fall here is beautiful, and I must say, it is! Just driving through our neighborhood to get to the freeway you’ll see tons of red, orange, and yellow trees. Downtown you’ll find streets lined with multi colored trees and fallen leaves…it’s all just so picturesque. If you ever get a chance, definitely come to Oregon in October (you’ll love it!).

Speaking of fall, I’m so excited to be teaming up with Banana Republic for their latest Turn It Up campaign. This initiative is all about turning it up in every aspect of our daily lives, whether it be style or ideas. As you know, this is my first fall in the PNW, so for me it’s all about turning it up and dressing the part. Fall has always been my favorite season, but now that I’m living in the Pacific Northwest, my love affair has only grown. So, bring on all the neutral tones, textures, plaid, and turtlenecks, because if that combo doesn’t make the perfect fall outfit, I don’t know what does!

I love plaid for this time of year, but I like it to stay pretty neutral. The wool flannel blazer is one of my favorite seasonal finds. The plaid is festive, but the muted tones make it wearable for pretty much any occasion. The fit on this bad boy is on point too. I’m wearing a petite 00 and it’s fitted, but still comfortable in the shoulders and arms. The merino turtleneck (on sale!) is also a great classic find. It’s a very fitted style, so if you’re planning on wearing it as a stand alone piece, make sure you size up (I went up 2 sizes). It’s soft, a good weight for a layering, and extremely versatile. Lastly, this Italian suede shoulder bag (on sale!) is stunning in person! The suede is nice and thick (lots of texture) and the medium brown color makes a statement. It’s also extremely roomy and the shoulder strap falls at a great length.

What are you turning up in your life this season?
