Family Athleisure Style

Nike toddler jumpsuit

The athleisure style runs in the family, what can I say, lol? Mike has always been a huge Nike fan, but I think my love for casual athleisure style has really rubbed off on him. I’ve encouraged him to get pieces that he can wear on the day-to-day without looking like he just got out of the gym (gym clothes can look bummy sometimes, you know?). A little tip for men or women styling their boyfriend/husband – well fitted joggers can go along way. The man is happy because they’re essentially wearing sweats and since they’re tailored, they look pulled together. To make it a family thing, we introduced Harper to her first tracksuit set. She looks even more adorable than I thought, lol. She even has her white tee peeking under (although not intentional).

On Me: Topshop pullover US2, Spanx leggings petite xs, Quay sunglasses, Nike Huarache 5.5 (sold out, also love these) // On Mike: Nike windrunner jacket large (new version), Nike joggers large, Nike sneakers (similar) // On Harper: Nike Track set 12 months, Converse Chuck Taylors size 3, Nuna stroller (new version)

The Spanx faux leather leggings have been a huge hit with many bloggers over the years. I never bought them because I knew they would run too long. When I found out they come in petite lengths, I ordered a pair immediately! And now I understand all the hype. They’re SO good – comfortable and flattering – which is something we all look for in leggings. I already have my eyes on the camo version. For reference, I’m wearing an xs and they fit great. They run a tad long, but I’ve been rolling the hems under. I also want to talk about this pullover. As if I don’t have enough sweatshirts, I know, I know. I love the collar on this one and the fact that it’s oversized. The neck runs small, so it’s hard to get my head through, but the collar is so good, I’m overlooking that.

You all know how much I love shopping at Nordstrom for myself, but I also love that I can shop for the whole family for just about any occasion. They truly do have something for everyone, every style, and at every price point. In case you haven’t’ shopped at Nordstrom or it’s been a while, I thought I would highlight some of their amazing services.

Buy online and pickup in store. This is one of my favorite services! We stop into the mall quite a bit and this service is so convenient. Especially if I need something right away. BOPUS is the new most convenient way to shop and sets Nordstrom apart from other retailers.

Alteration Services

Alter any item in your closet, it doesn’t need to be from Nordstrom! This is such a game changer for me, especially being petite. I try to buy mostly things that don’t need to be altered, but knowing that Nordstrom does this, is so awesome. Make an appointment directly on the site, alterations are quick & easy! Read more about alterations and tailoring here.

Don’t have time to shop in-store, but want the luxury of a personal stylist? Have a stylist curate a look just for you and send you a mobile style board (no obligation to purchase).
