Favorite Floral Picks

I recently talked about how hard it is to find the perfect floral pieces. Usually, they’re loud, busy, and bold, which isn’t the best for a neutral lover like me. In years past I would opt out of florals in the spring, but this year I’m changing that. I’ve been drawn to a couple pieces recently and decided to make it my mission to find subtle, neutral floral options for those of you, who like me, would love to incorporate the trend without looking liking a rose bush.

The key to wearing florals without going overboard-  find a neutral color, a smaller print, and pair it with more neutrals. I don’t even mind mixing prints, as long as it’s subtle. This Equipment blouse is hands down the most beautiful blouse I’ve ever seen. It’s such a great neutral floral piece – tell me why there isn’t more like this out there? When I spotted this Endless Rose dress, I was immediately drawn to it. It’s probably busier and more colorful than I would normally wear, but I love the nude/blush base color. The petite-friendly fit was also a huge factor. One of the things I love about florals, and this dress, is how feminine all the pieces are. I’m all for mixing feminine and masculine pieces, and florals are a great way to do this. Toughen up the girly print with denim, leather, or sneakers. The balance between the two, creates such a chic look.
