Fireplace & Mantle Makeover with The Home Depot

We recently painted our fireplace brick white and while I love the way it turned out, it was looking a little bit too simple. I took to Stories to get your input and I got a ton of great suggestions. Many of you liked the less is more look while others really wanted to see some garland or ivy of sorts. With the help of The Home Depot, I was able to keep things simple and very me, but still bring in pops of greenery to spruce up the space.

Ever since moving in and starting the decorating process, Mike and I have been living at The Home Depot. But, did you know they have so much more online? From decor items to furniture to real plants (and fake ones), they really have it all. This real fiddle leaf fig tree might be my favorite thing ever- the size and look of it, is just so darn adorable! Even Mike, who said no more real plants (we have like 15), adores this little guy. Something to note – all our real plants we ordered online (3 to be exact) came packaged so well and the plants were in great shape. The brass candle holders were also such a great find. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to put on the mantle and when I spotted these, I knew they were perfect. They tie in with the other brass elements in the room and really add cohesion.

I’m sure I’ll swap things in and out, because that’s what you do with decor, but I’m loving the way the fireplace and mantle turned out!
