Getting Inspired to Write with Papyrus

I’ve collected stationery and greeting cards ever since I was a little girl. I have a whole drawer full of blank cards waiting to be written on. I’m one of those people who pick up a set of cards just because they’re cute… does anyone else do that? Ever since writing our Thank You cards for our wedding, I’ve been all about handwritten messages. With so much noise in the digital space, handwritten notes have never been more meaningful. I love the idea of writing little notes to friends and family. Whether it’s to reminisce on an old memory or to just say hi. With that being said, I’ve actually struggled with writing my whole life. I have this little space on the Internet where I write everyday, but the truth is, it doesn’t come easy.

I’ve struggled with the writing process ever since I can remember. I have all these feelings in my head and a clear message I want to convey, but when I go to write it down, my thoughts are all over the place. It has actually prevented me from sharing more about myself and my experiences with you. It takes so much time to write a well thought out post for me, I tend to put them off. But, I want to change that. I know one of the ways to get better is to do it more often. Write as much as possible. Lately, I’ve been trying to set time apart from the hustle and bustle of the work week to sit and write in silence with no distractions. Getting the time to do that is a struggle in itself… but I know I want this process to become easier for me and I want to be able to share more with you, so I’m making it a priority.

What better way to get inspired to write than to send a few hand-written notes on some of the most beautifully crafted cards. As a nod to this past Fashion Week, Papyrus and Zang Toi launched one of the very first designer partnerships in the greeting card industry. Not only can you send someone you love a meaningful message, but you can now do so with the most coveted one-of-a-kind cards from iconic fashion designers. If you’re a stationery person, like me, you will love these!

If anyone else struggles with writing or just has any tips on how to get better at it, I’d love to hear from you. I often find the writing process calming and therapeutic, so I know doing more of it will not only help take this blog further, but will help with balance in my everyday life.
