I’m so excited to talk about 2 recent investment pieces. We had quite the Christmas over here. Mike surprised me with the Givenchy Antigona bag in the small size and I splurged on the Stuart Weitzman highland over-the-knee boots. The Givenchy had been on my wishlist for a couple years. Aside from it being a Givenchy (hello!), I love how chic it is. It’s structured and simple and really elevates just about any look. Initially, I thought the small was too small, but once I looked in the mirror with it on, I realized it fit my frame perfectly. I think I’m just use to oversized bags… Slowly learning how important it is to find bags that fit my petite size. The bag is gorgeous in-person, even Mike thinks so lol. I will say, the zipper opening is pretty stiff to get anything in and out. I’m hoping it will loosen up over time. Also, the shoulder strap is not very long. Typically, when a satchel like this has a longer strap, you can throw it over your shoulder or wear it as a crossbody. This one is short and can only be worn on shoulder bag. Overall, the Givenchy Antigona is as dreamy as I would have thought. The classic shape and color make it as versatile as they come. You will be seeing this baby a lot this winter.

Now let’s talk about the Stuart Weitzman highland over-the-knee boots. I had been wearing my black Marc Fisher flat OTK boots a ton and realized how well they worked in my wardrobe. I love black boots paired with dark blue and gray denim, both of which I reach for a lot in the winter. Since I was wearing my flat boots so much, I thought it would be nice to have an alternative, high heeled pair to create more elevated and dressier looks (dressier for me). I’m so happy I decided to invest in these because I’ve already worn them A LOT (definitely getting my money’s worth). The heel is high, but not uncomfortable unless you’re on your feet all day. The suede is plush and beautiful and I love how, with all Stuart Weitzman boots, the shaft is very narrow and form fitting. The Highland’s are definitely an investment piece, but if you know you’ll wear them, they’re 100% worth it!
