As you all know, I shy away from color. Years ago when I made the conscience effort to create a classic and versatile wardrobe, I promised to only invest in neutrals. I’ve been really committed to said promise, but since doing so, NEVER even look at color when shopping. Sometimes I will see something cute in a bright blue or pink and think, ‘oh that’s cute on her… but, I could never.’ While sticking to neutrals is what I naturally love, I do sometimes think I refrain from wearing color because my followers would be like, WTF. I’ve been doing a neutral palette for so long, I think many of you follow me for that reason.

But, after going through the stress of our wedding and taking time out on our honeymoon (and finding an excuse to wear bright colors), I realized I have to just do me. This blog and my style will always walk the lines of the white, beige, gray, tan, and black scale, but when a bright green dress comes along, I will wear it and love it! Unless it’s unreasonably priced, if you’re naturally drawn to something, I say go for it. Don’t worry about what other people will think, whether it’s color or a new trend, if you like it, rock it and own it.

I didn’t mean for this post to be all uplifting and motivating, but there you have it. Happy Thursday, friends!
