Living Room Reveal + Sources

Crystalin Marie Living Room

Our full living room is finally on the blog! I’ve been meaning to do more posts like this, sort of like a resource post for each room in our house, and I’m happy to have at least one up, ha. I wanted to get this post up asap because I’m going to add a few fall elements soon (and will do a blog post on that) AND because I’m already in the I-want-to-change-things-up phase. I figure, getting our day-to-day living room reveal up would help answer any questions I’ve been getting about sources before I change things up. I would love to switch out the rug and even get a new white/cream couch. I’m probably crazy, but I think my decor style maybe changing just a bit. Well see …

I’m all about bright and white and that’s what you get with this space. Even though I’m ready for a change, I really do love this space. The only thing I would change are the curtains. They blend in too much with the walls, so maybe a heartier fabric gray or something. There’s also ALOT of walnut wood… At the time I didn’t know how I felt about mixing wood stains, so I went with what was already there, the floors. Lately, I’ve been leaning more toward light/natural wood, but unless we change the floors (which I don’t think we will), I’ll probably stick to walnut (maybe just not as much). I tried my best to link everything in this room below, but if I missed something, let me know. I’m also answering some FAQ’s below.

What color are your walls?

We have Sherwin Williams High Reflective White on the walls. I don’t know the trim color, we left those the same when we moved in.

How do you like your coffee table and what do you use to clean the top?

I actually love our coffee table. Is it practical for kids, probably not, but we haven’t had any issues… yet. We also don’t use it a ton, so it’s stayed in great shape. We haven’t had any spills yet, so we haven’t had to trouble shoot the concrete. We have been meaning to seal it with wax, but we haven’t yet.

Is your couch comfortable?

Our couch isn’t sink-in comfortable, but I don’t mind that. The bottom cushions keep their shape and are more on the firm side, but again, I actually like that. The color and texture are absolutely beautiful and I love the modern design and shape.

How do you keep your rug clean?

We don’t do shoes in the house, which helps A LOT. If Harper has any snacks in the living room, she sits on her blanket, which helps avoid any accidents on the rug. We also clean our dogs paws after they go outside. One of our dogs actually just had their first accident on the rug and it was in the process of being cleaned (we use watered down vinegar and baking soda) and I forgot to vacuum the baking soda up and you can see it in these photos. Other than that, that’s all we really do.

What size are your gallery wall frames?

The photos inside are 8″x10″ and the frames are 15″x19″.
