Maternity Brand to Know: Ingrid & Isabel

Ingird & Isabel funnel neck sweater

Right when I was running out of things to wear, Ingrid & Isabel came through and sent me a few key maternity items. Honestly, it happens overnight. One day, you’re still fitting into boyfriend jeans and tee shirts and the next, everything has grown and you’re screwed with nothing to wear. I had seen the brand while browsing Nordstrom’s Maternity section, but was hesitant to order anything because let’s face it, I’m a novice when it comes to maternity clothes. What size do I get, do I really want to invest in maternity clothes when I can only wear it for a few months? I’m so glad Ingrid & Isabel reached out because I’ve been living in their leggings and now I’m all gung-ho about maternity clothes (okay, at least willing to try them out now).

If you’re pregnant and haven’t checked out Ingrid & Isabel yet, I would highly recommend you do so. They have an assortment of great basics at really great prices. The cowl neck maternity sweater I’m wearing is super cozy, fits really well, and comes in cream and black. I’ve also been living in my Everyday Seamless maternity leggings. They are more like a nylon tight, with some sheen, but I happen to like that. I’ve tested them out in different lighting and they are not see-through, which has been mentioned in the reviews. They’re lightweight and breathable, which is my favorite part about them. They do fall down a little bit, but for some reason I still love them. I actually ordered 2 pairs of the capri version (with hopes they’ll hit me at the ankles) because I’ve been wearing mine so much. They’re just so darn comfortable. Just an FYI – the over the belly band isn’t tight, which I happen to really like, but on the other hand if you’re looking for support, these won’t give them to you. I don’t need a ton of support around my belly (at least not yet), so these work perfectly for me.

I also have this dress, which I cannot wait to wear all fall and into winter! And to think I could get away with not buying maternity clothes throughout my pregnancy… ha, not with the way these boobs are growing, lol.
