I recently stocked up on dresses for the summer and our honeymoon. I’ve always had this thing about dresses. I would never invest in any because to me they seemed the least versatile out of everything in my closet. There’s just not a ton of ways you can wear a dress. But, with so many wedding events, and then time spent on our honeymoon, I knew I needed to take the plunge. I’m so glad I did because I’m obsessed! I have yet to wear half of these, but as they’ll all eventually make it to the blog, I thought I’d share details.

Parker Ashford Dress – As mentioned on Monday, this dress is one of my favs. The color, the cut, the length, all make for one perfect summer dress. I love the unexpected black straps in the back.

Banana Republic Patio Dress – This dress is quite thin without any lining. I was initially hesitant to keep it, but after talking to my tailor, we agreed it wouldn’t be an issue because it was black. This is one of the softest most silky dresses I’ve ever tried on. It’s perfect for hot weather and I love the open back.

Aqua over the shoulder tassel dress – I’m obsessed with the color on this one. It’s fully lined and was the perfect length straight out of the box. For those of you looking for cute coverups, it comes in black as well.

Forever 21 yellow tunic – I took a gamble ordering this from Forever 21. The color is so outside of the norm for me, but I LOVE it. Even Mike loved it on (which normally he hates anything that loose). It’s currently sold out online, but I’ve linked to more shirt dresses. I’m obsessed with this one too!

Nanette Lepore  stripe cover up (ON SALE!) – As mentioned yesterday, this striped cover up is the perfect dose of mixed prints. The pockets are fun, but on my small frame, they were quite overwhelming, so I had them removed. I’m wearing an xs, and while the length fits well, it does run a little boxy.

Lucy Paris off the shoulder dress (ON SALE!) – This dress is stunning! I was actually shocked at how amazing it looked on. I had the length taken up, but everything else fit perfectly.  I thought it was a steal at full price, but you’re in luck, it’s currently on sale for just under $55!

Asos smock dress – This was a random sale find, which sadly is now out of stock. Again, the color is out of the norm for me, but it was perfect for Mexico. It ran large, so I had it take in on the sides as well as the length. Here are some other awesome off the shoulder dresses you’ll love!

Forever 21 wrap shirt dress – I love the color and easiness of this dress. It’s not lined and pretty see-through, which sucks, but would be great over a swimsuit or used as a coverup. It does run large, but the wrap definitely helps cinch your waist.

Rebecca Minkoff Celestine dress – This dress is the quintessential summer dress. The combination of white, eyelet, and over the shoulder, really make it close to perfection. The drop waist definitely runs long, but nothing the tailor couldn’t fix. I know this one will be on repeat for a while.
