Prep Meets Distressed Denim

This outfit pretty much sums me up! As much as I love the classic preppy style, I will always add something different and unexpected to complete the look. I think of my style as comfortable and laid back, so no matter what I’m wearing (dress, skirt, blouse), I will add the right pieces to make that happen. This is why I’m wearing denim nearly everyday of my life and if they’re distressed, it’s even better. The great thing about fashion is you don’t have to fit into one category, preppy, boho, feminine, etc., you can mix and match different styles to make it your own. In my opinion, they’re no rules!

P.s. These boyfriend jeans turned boyfriend shorts were the best DIY I did this summer (highly recommend for comfy distressed shorts). They’re the perfect length, beyond soft, and the distressing came along perfectly. I probably wear them more than I’d like to admit (oops) =).
