Happy day-after-Christmas! Did you survive the madness? I’m barely alive… I realized getting a post up the day after Christmas wasn’t my best idea, but hey, the few of you who are online shopping today may appreciate it. My aunt’s birthday was Christmas Eve, so I feel like I’ve been celebrating all week. I definitely need a day to rest and recharge. Our first Christmas in Oregon was a success, though. We kept things mellow in the morning and then had dinner at my uncle’s brother house with their entire family. All in all, I would say our best Christmas yet!

In recent purchase news – I had been eyeing the Stuart Weitzman Highland over the knee boots in black and finally snagged them during a sale last week. They’ve definitely lived up to all the hype. Gorgeous suede, fit snug to my legs, and super flattering. I ended up going a half size down and they fit perfectly (wearing size 4.5). This navy peacoat from J.Crew has also been on my wishlist for awhile. It had been sold out for months, but I kept stalking the site and it finally became available last week. The fit on this bad boy is everything and I love the gold hardware. So classic and so chic! I recently tried on both the Blank NYC faux leather moto jacket and the Blank NYC faux shearling jacket and sadly, they’re too big. Since the the suede moto version I have fit pretty well, I thought maybe I would have luck with these. The faux leather jacket fit well across the shoulders, but the sleeves were just way too long. The shearling jacket was roomy all over. If you’re interested in this one, I would definitely say size down.
