It’s clear, Mike and I miss living in San Francisco for many reasons. However, the great thing about only living 45 minutes away is being able to drive up to do and see some of our favorites anytime we get a chance. Whether we’re in the city for work or fun, we always make it a point to stop in at our most-frequented Mexican restaurant, Taco Bar, and go-to yogurt shop, Fraiche. We lived very close to Fillmore street, so we probably stopped in way more than we should have, but when you live in a city with amazing food, you have to take full advantage of it.

If you’re in the area, I would highly suggest stopping into both of these, they’re quick, easy, and delicious!

Taco Bar
2401 California St, San Francisco, CA 94115

Between the both of us, we’ve probably ordered almost everything on the menu. I love that the ingredients are healthy and clean, but still taste authentic and amazing. Although the guacamole isn’t chunky (like I typically like it), it’s still delicious! There’s something about the beans and rice that keep me coming back.

My order: Vegetarian burrito or tacos with no veggies and no cheese sub black beans.
Mike’s order: Chicken burrito (especial) or any of their tacos.

Fraiche
1910 Fillmore St, San Francisco, CA 94115
Palo Alto location: 200 Hamilton Ave, Palo Alto, Ca 94301

Fraiche is not your average yogurt shop. They serve homemade organic fresh, frozen, and soy yogurt and have non-traditional toppings – think fresh fruit, granola, and healthy nuts. This place is an obvious favorite of mine because of the soy yogurt option, but I also just love the whole idea behind it. They take real ingredients (no artificial flavors) and make them taste great.

My order: Soy yogurt with walnuts and shaved chocolate.
