Weekend Recap 07

Well hello there! Welcome to the newly designed Crystalin Marie. I mentioned at the beginning of the year, a new site was in the works. This wasn’t necessarily what I had in mind, but Mike and I decided to wait on the major rebrand until later this year. I did think we needed a spring refresh, so I bought a template and did some tweaking on my end.

Function wise, everything has remained the same. Essentially my content is being displayed in a prettier way (in my opinion). You’ll find some essential and helpful posts right below the slider. These will be rotated every so often depending on popularity and season. One of the biggest changes is on my SHOP page. If you click on the SHOP link in my menu bar, it will take you to an entire page dedicated to all things shopping. Here you can shop different categories (essentials, under $100, my wardrobe, etc.), Instagram outfits, Instagram Stories, pre-owned items, and even search for outfits by season. I’m still working on filling this page out, so bear with me. Lastly, I’ve added a SERIES link to the menu bar where you’ll have quick access to all the series posts (Instagram Roundup, Weekend Recaps, Dressing Room Diaries, etc.). These have been some of the most popular posts, so I wanted to make them easy access for you. There’s still tweaks that have to be worked out, but you should be able to navigate everything. Let me know if something isn’t working correctly, etc, and let me know your thoughts!

In other weekend news, Mike and I saw Beauty and the Beast on Saturday (I know what you’re thinking). First of all, you all know I’m not a movie person, really, but the last couple of months I’ve seen so many. Second of all, I don’t normally see Disney movies, especially musicals. What is happening to me? I think it has something to do with the weather. We’re both so over the rain and cold and need to get out of the house. Shopping and eating can only take you so far in the winter… movies it is! Beauty and the Beast was also my favorite movie growing up, so maybe that had something to do with it too. Anyway, we watched it on an IMAX screen with 3D glasses (Mike decided this when he ordered the tickets online). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie in 3D and sadly, I don’t think I ever need to again. The glasses hurt and the whole thing makes me dizzy. Dang, I’m getting old, lol. Overall, we liked it. Emma Watson was cast perfectly and who knew she could sing that well? I can’t even tell you if there were any differences from the original… I guess I’m not that big of a fan after all, ha!

AND, happy first day of spring! We had a beautiful sunny day yesterday, which was the perfect way to enter this week. Sad part, we have rain in the forecast for at least 2 weeks straight. Send all your happy spring thoughts our way.
How was your weekend?
