Weekend Recap 10

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Despite ours being semi laid back, I feel like I  need a weekend from the weekend. We’re on a new work schedule, or should I say, we’re getting back to the 6am wake up call we implemented at the beginning of the year. I don’t feel like I have enough time in the day, so the obvious solution is to wake up earlier. But, it’s kicking my butt. I think I just have to get used to it… and go to bed earlier! Let’s just say, I could have napped both Saturday and Sunday.

Clare Vivier Alice tote

Finally got my nails done. I’m not one for nail art, but I love the minimal vibes going on here //  I preordered the Clare V. petite Alice tote and it arrived early (also pictured, Alice tote in the regular size)!

Loft Friends & Family Sale

Shot a fun project for Loft with my aunt. On me – Loft top, Loft jeans, Clare V. Alistair crossbody. On her – Loft sweater, Loft jeans, Chloe Marcie bag

Outdoor Voices gray leggings

Nike sweatshirt, Outdoor Voices leggings // That tucked paw, though.

Figlia Americana Portland

Tried Figlia Americana for the first time. Such a cool space!

Yummy avocado toast (on an everything bagel with spicy peppers) and turkey sandwich for Mike

Crystalin Marie dog Riley

This guy cracks me up. Oh don’t worry, dude, we don’t need any space or anything, lol.

Hero Sushi
's dark chocolate peanut butter cup

Tried another new-to-us restaurant, Hero Sushi, which actually serves Korean Food now (yay!) // Obsessed with the mini Justin’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups.

Homemade avocado toast

Mike made the prettiest avocado toast, so obviously, I had to take a photo.

Holy Taco brunch
2017 Spring handbag trend

Brunch with my aunt at Holy Taco // My spring bag obsession it out of control. Starting with top left: J. McLaughlin circular wicker bag, Cult Gaia ark bag, SERPUI circle basket bag (sold out, similar), Clare V. Alistair bag

We had an awesome workout on Friday. We’ve been working out for 3 months now, so it was time to change things up a bit. We’re working on the energy systems, specifically speed and strength right now. Those workouts kick my butt, but in the best way possible. We then headed to my aunt’s house for drinks and dinner. We tend to stay up really late in deep conversations, which I always love, but regret the next day (I’m a grandma and need my sleep).  I wasn’t feeling all that great Saturday, but I think it was less about sleep and more about the champagne.

Saturday I had planned to get some work done, but ended up getting my nails done and going to lunch (oops). I’m so glad I did, though, because I’m obsessed with my nails and we found a new-to-us restaurant that we’ll most likely frequent at least once a week. I’m not the easiest person to eat out with (eating vegan), so when we find something we both like, it’s a big deal. We ended the night by watching the documentary, Trophy Kids on Netflix. We’ve been really into documentaries lately, but I would not necessarily recommend this one. It’s about over-the-top sports parents and things got real uncomfortable. Has anyone else seen it?  If you have any documentaries you would recommend, I’d love to hear about them.

We woke up early on Sunday to shoot a fun project for Loft, which will go live later this week. I got to shop, eat, and laugh with my aunt, all while working, so it was a fun day. Tiring, but fun. I swear, I’m promising myself I’m getting in bed by 9:30pm every night to be asleep by 10pm. That sounds reasonable, right?
