Weekend Recap 12

Phew, what a week/weekend. We had my cousin and his family in town since last Wednesday, so it’s been pretty non-stop. Who knew hosting, eating, and drinking would be such hard work. It’s probably more of the go, go, go, but still. I also drank way too much in the last few days. I’m a lightweight in general, so even having a glass of wine for 4 days straight is a lot. I didn’t document their visit as well as I normally would with photos, but I’m actually proud of myself for being more in the moment and not worrying so much about photos.

Is this not the most epic photo of Riley? He’s fitting to get away from Mike, but I’ll just say he’s laughing.

Friday we had the gang over our place during the day. We had incredible weather, which I’m so happy my family was able to see considering it pretty much rained every other day they were here (of course). We headed over to my aunt’s house for drinks and dinner. Since the weather was so nice she made sangria and even grilled. Let’s just say we soaked it all in… I’m not sure when we’ll get another day like it. We ended up staying up drinking wine and talking until 2am. Absolutely worth it, but we paid for it the next day.

I had a hair appointment early Saturday. I trimmed the ends, added more dimension (layers and texturizing) and toned the brass out of my balayage. It seems super dark right now, but since my hair gets brassy quickly, my hair stylist added more pigment to my tone (not completely sure what that all means). I will let you know how I like all the new changes. The rest of the day was spent online shopping in bed, napping, and watching NBA playoff basketball. Not productive, but after an exhausting 3 days, it was well worth it.

Sunday I headed to 23rd for a girls day to celebrate my cousin’s cousin’s 18th birthday. Lunch, coffee, and some shopping. It was the perfect way to end the weekend. I’m stilling feeling a little bit out of it, but I’m hoping the work prep I did yesterday helps the workweek flow nicely.

How was your weekend?
