Weekend Recap 27

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? For the most part, ours was pretty mellow. I’m in the process of planning my baby shower (yes, I’m planning it because that’s just who I am), working on the nursery, and finding a new blog template and getting this blog more organized. Doing all that while still working has me all over the place. I don’t know if it’s because I’m pregnant or what, but I feel like I’m scatterbrained. I forgot to go to my hair appointment on Saturday and for no reason other than I forgot (yikes!). The inability to form sentences and remember words is ridiculous, too. I can admit it, I’m a hot mess these days.

Hands down best baby book I’ve read so far. SO GOOD!

While I typically like my Weekend Recaps to be happy and fun, I also like to keep them real and honest. These last couple of days haven’t been the best. Yesterday Comcast came at 8am and stayed all the way until 2:00pm. We thought it was going to be a 20 minute appointment, so we had our whole day planned. We waited, waited, and waited, and he was still working away. That put wrench in our whole day. That only capped off a pretty shitty weekend. I cried a lot, was frustrated, and stressed. I don’t want to get into full details (this blog is public after all), but this year I’ve come to realize it’s hard for me to deal with situations where people don’t have the tools necessary to grow and understand. This is something Mike and I practice everyday – understanding, personal growth, open mindedness. When people don’t have these tools, it’s hard for me to accept the situation and move past it. Because it seems like human nature to be open, understanding, and look at things from different perspectives, I feel as though this should come easy to everyone and that’s not the case. Knowing how strong I feel when situations like this come up, makes me realize I still have so much work to do on my personal growth. With that being said, I’m only human, and feelings get hurt and emotions run high. Thankfully, I have a great life, an amazing husband, two fluff balls, our little one on the way, and an amazing community to talk to to make things all okay in this world. At the end of every hard situation, I do always feel super grateful for everything in my life… it just takes a couple days, lol.

Thankfully, it’s a brand new and I’m ready to kick some ass! I hope you all have an awesome week!
