Many of you had asked if I could start incorporating more ‘night’ and ‘office’ looks to the blog. It got me thinking. I don’t go out a ton and I work from home, so how could I make this work? I came up with the idea of showing how I would wear one piece during the day, night, and to the office. I figured this way, I’m just restyling something I’m already wearing (during the day) and you get way more outfit inspiration. First up, this super chic Banana Republic striped turtleneck. The second I spotted it online, I knew I had to have it. Classic camel with navy stripes, I mean how much more fall does it get? I do wish it was more of a thicker sweater, but it’s Merino, so it’s quite thin and more of a layering piece. I went up 2 whole sizes for a looser, more comfortable fit. This color has since sold out, but it’s still available in black and white. I’m sharing more striped turtlenecks below for those of you interested in recreating any of these looks.
As I mentioned in this post, transitioning your day look for the office or a night out is really all about accessories and a layering piece. Anything can work for all occasion if you swap out your shoes and purse and add a third piece (jacket, blazer, cardigan, etc.). That’s really all I did here. 3 layering pieces you need in your wardrobe to help extend your closet like I did: a blazer, leather jacket, and black pants. I’m telling you, these are the real MVPs.
