Date night is something Mike and I are trying to work on. When you work from home, you get stuck in your routine. Finish work around 5:00 or 6:00pm, head downstairs to start dinner, and end the night watching something on the DVR. Most often times we’ll schedule a day date on the weekends, but don’t get around to a date night. More recently we’ve made it a point to go on couple date nights during the week and weekends and we’ve fully enjoyed ourselves. It’s such a great way to break up the work week and spend quality time together. We’ve made it a priority to schedule in our date nights at least every other week. Let’s see how long that lasts…

This petite spot frill bardot dress from Topshop is equal parts cute and sexy, which is always great for date night. The ruffles, flare sleeves, and off the shoulder details are all on trend right now, and I’m digging the whole polka dot retro vibe. One of the things I love so much about this dress, it can be dressed up or down. You can easily get away with pairing it with flat sandals or sneakers and throw on a 3rd piece (leather jacket, denim jacket, or blazer). I took my normal size in Topshop (2 in dresses), but it runs slightly small on me. If you’re interested, I would recommend sizing up.
Topshop has a ton of cute spring occasion dresses right now. They even recently started Topshop Bride, where they have everything you need for the bride-to-me, including bridesmaid dresses! I’m sharing my favorite date night dresses below. For any petite girls reading, I’ve always been a huge fan of Topshop’s petite sizing. Proportions are always perfect, although sometimes sizing can run small or big. With dresses though, I’ve found most to run TTS (I’m almost always a size 2).
