A Toast to the Holidays

This Christmas will be extra special as it’s our first year celebrating as a family of 3 (5 including the dogs) and in our very own home. And to top it off, my family will be joining us as well. While it’s an exciting time, I must say, there’s some pressure to get it all right. I love hosting, but I haven’t had a ton of time this year to have anyone over, really, with a new baby and all. But, it’s the holidays and family will be here, so I feel like it’s the perfect excuse to pull out all the cute dishes, pretty flatware, pop open the wine and enjoy some downtime.

Mike and I love a good glass of red wine. It doesn’t have to be pricey, we like anything smooth that goes down easily. I’ll probably have a glass of wine every other night with a piece of dark chocolate. We recently tried Cavit Wine Pinot Noir and it’s the perfect everyday wine. It’s smooth, light, and easy to drink. I’m actually excited for my parents to try it – they’re not the biggest wine drinkers, but I have a feeling they’re going to like this one!

I may be a little rusty on my hosting skills (although this spread looks quite nice), but at least the wine will make up for it!
