We officially kicked off fall this week and it’s perfect timing because Walmart’s October home theme is fall harvest. It’s that time when we welcome family and friends into our homes and create spaces that are inviting, decorative, and cozy. While I love the idea of decorating for different seasons, I’m still working on my skills. It’s hard to know what to buy, where to put things, and an overall vibe. I can decorate and furnish a house, but when it comes to seasonal decor, I’m a work in progress.
I’ve been meaning to create a fall tablescape for the last couple of years for the blog, but I’ve always been intimidated. Luckily, I’ve started to collect some decor pieces over time, which helps build a foundation. Walmart also has a ton of great fall decor pieces that are simple, neutral, and affordable. Seasonal decor can be hard because it can seem so over-the-top. For instance, fall means all the orange pumpkins or Christmas is all about red and green. But, there’s definitely ways to make it your own. I went with a very simple and neutral vibe for my tablescape. I started with this neutral runner and snagged the matching napkins (which are actually placemats). I included black plates and flatware to keep things neutral and I added a lot of greenery. Insert family and friends and the Da Silva’s are ready for the holidays!
