Mike and I recently teamed up with Express for their #ExpressLife authored by you campaign. The focus of the initiative is to share personal insights and mantras on how to live a successful and confident life. Something Mike and I are really focused on right now is balance. He recently joined the Crystalin Marie team, so not only do we live together, but we spend pretty much our entire day working together. It’s hard to draw the line between work and personal life. A lot of times we catch ourselves spending the whole day in work mode and not focusing on our relationship. To help us find that balance, we make dates for ourselves outside of our home office. For us, a great foundation for a successful business starts with a great relationship between the 2 partners. The more we’re on the same page personally, the better we’ll vibe and work together in our business. You can’t have one without the other. Whether it’s grabbing coffee in the middle of the day or heading out for happy hour, we make dates a priority.

I know I say this about many jeans, but these girlfriend jeans from Express might be my current favorite pair. I was immediately drawn to the light wash and extreme distressing. The denim doesn’t have a ton of stretch, so they have a very vintage-vibe, which I’m loving right now. I’m wearing a 00 and they run slightly large. I think once I wash them though, they’ll be perfect.

FYI – Mike is wearing the slim leg slim fit dark wash jeans and he loves the fit. If you’re significant other is looking for a pair of the skinny jeans that don’t taper out (don’t look like bootcut) and are not skin tight, these are a great affordable option.
