Look 2: Adrianna Papell sheath lace dress, Steve Madden nude heels, Thacker NY mini satchel, Ray-Ban black aviators // Look 2: Adrianna Papell sheath lace dress, Topshop pleated skirt, Asos heels (old, similar)
I’ve never been into dressing up for the holidays, but for some reason it has me excited this year. I may not have anywhere to wear some of these looks to, but I know you may, so I’m going to do my best in providing outfit inspiration over the next month. Plus, you’ll see my take on some of the more feminine trends and silhouettes. First up, this Adrianna Papell lace sheath dress. I’ve been really loving the midi /longer dress and skirt styles, so when I saw this dress online, I had to have it. Plus, Adrianna Papell petite dresses tend to sell out fast, so I knew if I didn’t snag it asap, it would be gone. They didn’t have a petite 0, so I took the petite 2. It runs big as expected, but surprisingly, it doesn’t look terrible. This is my first Adrianna Papell dress and I’m pretty impressed with the quality and fit, especially for the price ($170). I also love that sheath dresses can be worn under skirts making it one of the more versatile dress styles. I threw on this pleated Topshop number to show how easily you can style it mulitple ways.
I’m not usually a sheath dress kind of girl, but the long sleeves, high neck, and longer length did it for me. It’s classy, a bit edgy, and still chic. Not only is this dress great for the holidays (hello lace!), but it can be worn year-round and it’s appropriate for many occasions and settings (parties, work, dinner, date). It comes in a turquoise and burgundy color for those of you who love color as well as a shorter and sleeveless version.
