Nordstrom Sale aside, I haven’t had the easiest time shopping for summer clothes lately. Things have started to get tight and I only want to wear the same 5 things that fit comfortably. I’m either in these jeans, which I’ll get more into later on in this post, a pair of the softest boyfriend jeans, or a dress. I’m not even big, but when you’re pregnant, apparently you gain weight in places you don’t even know exist – that make all your clothes feel uncomfortable. I’m slowly learning how to dress this new body, but it’s taking some trial and error.
Okay, this is one of my favorite posts to date. Not because it has pretty pictures or the best outfits, but I’m sharing my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale purchases and try-on’s, and let’s just say, there’s some good stuff this year. I’m all for showing you how to style my favorite pieces (those posts to come), but I also think it’s extremely helpful to share my thoughts on sizing, fit, quality, and versatility of each item. It’s a long post, so grab your coffee and get comfy!
Happy Monday! I feel like life has been a blur since Thursday when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale started. Literally it’s been sale, sale, sale every minute of the day. Whether it’s buying, putting together posts, organizing my purchases (I bought SO much), going in-store, trying everything on, and shooting outfit – it’s been non-stop. Things can sell out quickly, so I just want to make sure you see all the good stuff (and have the opportunity to buy), before it’s gone.
One of the hardest things I hear from readers and friends about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, thinking about fall clothes when it’s super hot outside. For me, fall is my favorite time of year to get dressed, so I don’t have any issues shopping my heart out, lol. But, I totally get it. That’s why I like to buy and feature pieces that can transition really well from summer to fall. Today, I’m sharing 16 must-have Nordstrom Anniversary Sale summer to fall transitional jackets.
It’s here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access has started and I’m giving you the rundown of my top picks that I know will sell out fast plus my purchases so far. While the sale lasts for over 3 weeks and you want to pace yourself, know that things sell out quickly. If you’re thinking about a piece for 1 second, I would jump on it. At the end of the day, you can always return it if it doesn’t fit or you don’t end up loving it. At least that way, you don’t regret never pulling the trigger and missing out.
When it comes to summer weddings, I tend to always lean on some sort of maxi dress. I don’t know what it is, but they seem so appropriate and they’re without a doubt super comfortable. Summer weddings tend to be outdoors, so I like that the floor length fabric will help keep you warm from day to night. Honestly, I think I’ve worn a maxi dress to every wedding I’ve been to in the last 5 years (love this one from the fall). Now that’s a little crazy.
The little white dress might be my favorite piece to wear in the summer. It’s just so refreshing and simple, yet chic. You can throw it on for just about any occasion and can dress it up or down depending on the style you’re going for. Dresses in general are hard to find for petites, so I haven’t been able to find a ton of white dresses that fit. When I stumbled up on this one from Tularosa, I loved the ruffle details and short length, but wasn’t expecting too much. When it arrived, I fell in love. The dress is very delicate and feminine, but the long sleeves help balance it out a bit. It’s quite sheer even with a lining under, but still very wearable. I love that the ruffles make a statement, but the rest of the dress is very simple. I’m wearing an xs and it fits nicely. This is non-maternity, but it’s actually the perfect dress for your growing belly. Gotta love flowy dresses!
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Not to sound crazy, but it’s nice to see a normal Monday. With last week’s holiday schedule, I felt super out of whack and didn’t know what day it was everyday. Could also be pregnancy brain, too. Saturday we kept things pretty low key. We made vegan cinnamon blueberry pancakes in the morning (modified this recipe), I went for a run, made lunch, and then worked. I have so many things I want to get done work wise before Baby D arrives, so I feel like I need to put in the work now. I’m also battling fatigue, so I’m trying to work any time I’m feeling motivated. Sunday we decided to splurge, so we headed downtown for donuts, coffee, and acai bowls before we stopped by baby Gap and did our grocery shopping for the week.
I think I was a little too excited when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog arrived in the mail. This is one, if not, the biggest sale of the year and the best part, it last for over 3 weeks! Because this is such a big and exciting sale, I thought I’d give you the rundown just in case this is your first time navigating it. And if you think it’s just another sale, think NOT. The sale is so popular because for a limited time, Nordstrom offers brand-new styles at seriously discounted prices. Get ready to get your fall wardrobe shopping done.
