Affordable Petite Denim

Best petite ankle jeans

I discovered Abercrombie & Fitch’s petite (short) denim pre-pregnancy, but wasn’t able to wear my jeans once my bump started growing, so I completely forgot about them. Lately, I’ve been so desperate for jeans that fit and remembered A&F had really great fitting (in the length), stretchy jeans. I figured, I’d ordered a bunch and see what could work for this in-between stage I’m going through (2nd trimester). BTW, I did end up ordering maternity jeans, so stay tuned to see how those fit.

Weekend Recap 29

Lola

Happy Tuesday! How was your long weekend? We stayed local and endured the 100 degree heat. Thankfully, it doesn’t get super hot until later in the day here, so you’re able to at least get out of the house and run some errands in the mornings. I’m was also super okay with staying inside, catching up on shows, reading, and browsing all the sales online in the AC. At this point in my pregnancy, staying cool and comfortable is my only priority, lol.

12 Bomber Jackets You Need For Fall

Kut from the Kloth petite ankle jeans

I’ve been going back and forth on whether bomber jackets are for me. I see them styled on other ladies and I love them. Chic, sporty, and versatile – all things that resonate with me. I think the cropped length coupled with the puffy material is throwing me off. Anything that makes you look bigger than you are, especially for a petite girl like myself, is never a good idea. When I recently  spotted this Madewell option, I was intrigued. The side slits could help with all the bulk and it’s on the thinner side. I have last years green version from Madewell, and while it’s puffy, I’m determined to wear it more this year (it’s just so darn comfortable).

Weekend Recap 28

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Ours was equal parts productive, fun, and relaxing. Love those kinds of weekends! With that being said, It seems as though my 2nd trimester bliss may be coming to an end (2 more weeks until I’m in my 3rd trimester). Baby D is moving like crazy and it’s been hard to stay asleep at night. The peeing every hour is a nightmare too! I’ve been falling asleep fine, but when I get up to go to the bathroom, I’m struggling to fall back asleep. I’m hoping I can just get used to everything, so I can get back to better sleep… or this is just preparing me for years to come of little sleep, lol.

Baby Finds + Nursery Update

The nursery has been consuming me, so I figured I’d give you an update. I’ve also been finding a ton of awesome baby/kids boutiques that I’m obsessing over, that I need to share with you. I never in a million years thought I would be so into baby things. Man have things changed. I’m more excited to shop/receive packages in the mail for Baby D than I am of my own things. While it may not appear so (baby clothes overload), I am trying to limit myself. I know babies grow out of things really fast and everything gets stained, etc., so I totally get it. Clothes may be my weakness, but I will say, I’m keeping everything else very minimal. I printed out several registry checklists/baby essential lists to make sure I’m getting all the must-haves (as in you couldn’t survive without them), but waiting/passing on some of the extras. We’re sticking to a couple wood toys, 1 doll/stuffed animal, and not overdoing it with blankets and frilly things. We don’t like clutter in this house, so that’s been a big help it not going overboard.
