Staying Cozy for the Holidays with Koolaburra

Merry Christmas Eve, friends! I’m popping in to share my favorite gift to myself this year, the Kinslei short boot from Koolaburra by Ugg. This type of boot has been on my wishlist since moving to Oregon (almost 3 years ago). It’s the perfect mix of comfort, cozy, and functional and I’m not even going to lie, I’m obsessed. Winters here are VERY cold, so being able to slip these on for our walks with Harper and the dogs, or to run errands, is kind of everything. I wasn’t expecting them to be so comfortable right out of the box – there’s no breaking-in necessary. I love that the Kinslei style can be worn as-is or the shaft can be rolled down for more of an ankle style boot.

Sauvie Island Christmas Tree Farm

If you watched my Stories last week, you know this day didn’t go as planned. Last minute we had to find a different tree farm because the one we we’re going to was closed. We ended up at the Sauvie Island Christmas tree farm, which was super cute and adorable. No one was there, which was perfect for family photos. Just when I thought the day was saved, Harper decided she didn’t want to participate and cried the entire time. I guess that’s life with a baby, right? The day ran longer than we anticipated and we were way past Harper’s nap time. I had to do all the things in the car to not let her sleep – pulling out all the baby wipes did the trick. Luckily, we got some decent photos from the day and Harper made it all the way home and was able to nap in her crib.

An Easy Way to Look Festive This Holiday Season

I didn’t know I needed a green coat until I put this one on. I’m such a neutrals girl, but I must say, this coat is perfect for the holidays. It’s such an easy way to look festive without going overboard or thinking too much about it. You can make it even more festive by adding a plaid scarf like I did or you can easily pair a neutral scarf (or no scarf at all) and make it work for post-holiday outings.

Getting Back Into It with ASICS

This post was sponsored by Zappos.

Just after my 2 month postpartum mark I was determined to get back into my workout routine. I was doing workouts at home that were tailored to c-section recovery. I did a few weeks of that and life got in the way. Fast forward to today (or last week) and it’s been nearly a whole year of not working out. Having a baby and running a business from home full time is hard work and unfortunately, staying active has taken a back seat. But, last week I was cleaning out my closet and threw on some of my workout clothes to see what fit and what didn’t and I was completely inspired. I don’t know what happened – seeing myself in my old workout clothes, being reminded of how much I loved working out and how great it made me feel, really made me want to prioritize an active lifestyle.

Gift Ideas for Baby

I wasn’t going to do any gift guides this year, but made an exception for the babes in your life. I’ve received so many questions about gifts for babies and to be honest, this is the best category to shop for, so why not. With that being said, I’m very picky when it comes to toys, clothes, and books for Harper. We’ve taken the minimal approach when it comes to stuff and really try to avoid any toxic toys (key word is try). Below I’m sharing toys, books, and clothes I love as well as things we have that would make for a great gifts.

3 Ways to Wear Leopard for the Holidays

I’ve been so drawn to leopard this season and figured the holidays was a good time to dress up the print. Maybe it’s because I don’t wear bold leopard on the daily, or maybe it’s because leopard feels festive to me, regardless, I thought it would be fun to share some festive leopard outfits perfect for the holidays.

Staying Holiday Ready with Dyson

We’ve received so many messages asking how we keep our house and rugs clean with 2 dogs and a baby. Let me fill you in on a secret, we vacuum A LOT. Well, we also don’t wear shoes in the house, which helps so much. But in general, Mike is a clean freak and he’s rubbed off on me quite a bit. I’m not at all as crazy as he is, but I do love that his OCD clean tendency leaves us with a very organized and clean house.
