My Most Worn Item This Winter

I was stocked to have snagged my Gap sherpa coat in my size before it sold out. But, I had no idea how much wear it would get. If you live anywhere really cold, you know getting dressed for the day gets very old in the winter. Jeans, boots, and a coat – all day everyday pretty much. This coat has saved me this winter. I throw it on over everything. It’s warm, cozy, and comfortable. I’m such a stickler for fitted coats, but I love that this one has room. I can move around in it, hold Harper, run after Harper, and throw it over a thick hoodie or sweater. It’s hands down my best purchase this winter. And best part, Harper has a teddy coat of her own and she matches mama!

Stay tuned to see how Harper styles her new pieces. You can always catch her outfit in real time on my Stories.

What I bought From the Shopbop Sale

Love Shack Fancy dress

As promised, I’m sharing what I ordered from the Shopbop sale. I ordered a couple of things for our upcoming trip to California as well classic pieces I know I will wear a ton this spring and summer. One of my goals this year was to invest in more dresses. I know, I know you’re thinking, what has gotten into you. I realize I fall back on the same 5 pieces in the summer and I want more variety. Dresses just seem so easy too now that I’m a mom. Easy to throw on and get out the door, you know? Anyway, below I’m sharing details on each piece. Let me know if you have any questions about fit/quality.

Your Guide to Shopbop’s Buy More, Save More Sale

ON SALE

AGOLDE jeans 23 (sized down), Ray-Ban round sunglasses, Splendid tee xs, Sam Edelman loafers 4.5

It’s the first big sale of the year (and one of the best of the year), Shopbop’s Buy More Save More Sale! And it’s just in time to start shopping for spring. I’ve been waiting for this sale to pull the trigger on some of my spring and summer staples (get up to 25% off). I will say, this sale is a little bit of a tease because I know I won’t be able to wear anything I buy for a while… it’s still very much winter here. We do have a trip to Southern California coming up in March, so thankfully, I’ll get a dose of sun and be able to wear some of my new pieces. Below I’m sharing everything in my closet that is on sale. I’ll be back tomorrow with more favorites from the sale and hopefully by the end of the week, I’ll share what I ordered and a try-on post of sorts. Stay tuned and happy shopping!

The Art of Athleisure

I’ve talked about my love for athleisure style a ton on the blog. It’s one of my go-to styles and I wear it even more now that I’m a busy mom. I’ve also shared my tips on how to achieve athleisure style, like wearing well fitted pieces, tailored coats and jackets, and elevated sneakers. But, IMO, I believe the art of athleisure style begins with mixing high and low pieces. There’s something about mixing the ease of workout wear – leggings, pullovers, and sneakers – with high end pieces like a statement bag or sunglasses. There’s a variety of ways you can achieve this, but I love keeping my outfit budget-friendly and topping it off with a designer bag. I’m also a big sneaker junkie, so a new pair of sneakers can complete your outfit as well!

Top 10 Baby Toys we Actually Use

Our Top 10 Baby Toys

Finally, a post on all of Harper’s favorite toys! After putting this post together, I realized it’s not the most fun post. All our toys are very BASIC, lol. Nothing really exciting over here. As mentioned before, we try to keep Harper’s toys to a minimum and nothing over stimulating. I’m planning on getting her a kitchen, but I’m waiting until we start to redo the guest bedroom as her playroom. Stay tuned for updates on that. Harper gets into a lot of random things that are not considered toys, so while this post is very basic, trust me the girl is very busy. Some of the things not pictured in this post that are keeping her very busy – playing with the dogs, playing with my old Instagram magnets, shoe boxes, baby monitor, sunglasses, and my mini blow dryer, lol.

Petite Style: How to Wear Different Style Boots

I received so many messages from fellow petites asking how to style different types of boots. It’s funny because I feel like the timing of this post is so spot on. I’ve struggled with styling boots and booties my whole life. In fact, I swore off ankle booties back in the day because I 1000% thought my short legs could not pull them off. I’ve started to wear more boots and booties over the last few years, but not until more recently, have I felt like I’ve mastered this as a petite. There’s still styles I avoid (I DO NOT wear tall boots), but for the most part, I can wear any style boot and feel confident and elongated. I’m sharing all the tips I’ve learned over the years below.

Our Living Room Gallery Wall: Tips and Sources

Article Otio chair

Even before knowing if we got the house, I knew I wanted to create a gallery wall with family photos on this wall. It was a vision that came to my mind the second I walked into the house. Before this house, we never really had family photos framed and put on the wall. All the places we lived prior to this never really fit our style and we didn’t want to invest in too many changes since we were renting (wasn’t going to paint, etc.). So, this little wall that gets so much love on Instagram has been something I’ve been dreaming up for years and after picking out the frames, it came together fairly easily.
