The Perfect Drape Front Trench

How to style a trench coat

I’ve had my Azalea drape front trench (last seen here) for a several years now, so I thought it was time to upgrade. The style has proven to be super versatile (you can literally wear with anything, dress it up or down). I’ve been content with my Azalea jacket because I had it custom tailored to me, so it fits like a glove! With that being said, there’s no lining and the color is little off. When I spotted this jacket on Club Monaco’s site, I thought the shorter length (on the model) could work for me. While the length works, the sleeve width and length are a little roomy. Overall though, this is a great drape trench. It’s fully lined and has some weight to it, which I like for layering in the winter. The quality is really nice and it’s just a gorgeous piece to have in your closet. I’ll definitely be living in this all fall and even winter.

October’s Wishlist

October's Wishlist

At the beginning of every season, I always feel like there’s so much to invest in to complete my wardrobe. I’ve been building my essential wardrobe for years, so you would think this list of things would get smaller. But, I’ve found that just because you have the basic essentials, doesn’t mean you can’t either upgrade or buy a few trend items. This season is all about the plaid/check blazer and pageboy hats – two trends I can get on board with. I’ll share more about these in a later post, but in the meantime, I’m sharing a few items on my October wishlist.

New Blog Design + Features

Happy Tuesday and welcome to the new site design! I guess you could say, I’m going back to the basics. The biggest noticeable difference, the two column layout (where I post and the sidebar) instead of one. While I love having large photos, I did miss having the ease of showcasing more content along the sidebar.  I just feel like it’s easier for you to access more features on the site. For a second, I was all about the high functioning, super complex blog designs. But, after reading blogs and doing research, things started to get very complicated. Until I actually do a complete brand overhaul (maybe next year?), I think keeping it simple and clean is the best way for you to access everything on the site. What do you think? I’m sharing more new details below.

Getting Intimate with Thirdlove

Thirdlove bras

I’ve talked about my boobs a lot during this pregnancy (sorry if it’s TMI). They’re bigger than I could have ever imagined and for a girl who has never liked big boobs, it’s a little overwhelming. I’ve tried to disguise my 32 C size my whole life. Thankfully, the way I dress/my style allows me to do this fairly easy. But, as I get bigger and closer to my due date, there’s no hiding these babies, lol. When Thridlove reached out to promote their new fall line of bras, I thought I owed it to myself, to really find some comfy bras for these things that are creating a life of their own.

Moto Boots + Power Blazer

Ingrid & Isabel capri seamless leggings

You don’t know you need a double breasted black blazer until you have one. And if it’s a little longer than your average blazer, it’s even better. I was immediately attracted to the simple silhouette and brass hardware of this Mural blazer. I wasn’t sure about fit considering I had never ordered anything from the brand. Luckily for me, the shoulders fit nicely and the length works perfectly. The arms run a little long, so I have them rolled under. In general though, I’m obsessed! It’s so chic and makes you feel so damn good when you wear it. I’m a big pocket person, so I’m glad the ones on this blazer are functional. If you’re looking for a lightweight boyfriend blazer, this one is awesome!

Weekend Recap 32

Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? Other than a couple meltdowns (more on that later), we had a pretty nice and relaxing, yet productive couple of days. We made it out for date night Saturday night, which is always a win for us considering I find it so hard to get out of the house at night. Lately, I’m fairly exhausted by 5:00pm, so to get dressed and look presentable isn’t always the easiest, lol. We ran a bunch of errands Saturday day and then stopped my a couple open houses. We’re just dipping our toes into looking to buy a house. I’m crossing my fingers we can get more serious in the new year. I know getting a mortgage as a small business owner can be tough, so we’ll see how this goes.
