Happy Monday! How was your weekend? While exhausting, ours was pretty eventful. We had our 20 week ultrasound AND we bought a car! More on both below. I did want to mention how we got a break from the heat wave and man did it feel AMAZING. Sunday was glorious. We woke up to a bit of rain and overcast skies. I think it was in the mid 60’s-70’s throughout the day and I just loved every second of it. We slept in, cuddled in bed with the pups, Mike ran out and got us bagels and coffee, I got a bunch of stuff done on the computer, and then we headed out for sushi. One of my favorite days in a while!
Happy Friday! I’m ending the week by sharing some of my recent purchases I think you should know about. Some I’ve have and have been using and others I just snagged on sale. Lately, I’ve been all about comfort, so if you’re pregnant or just like some good ole comfort pieces, be sure to read on.
Wow, this post is just 2 years late, lol. Since I’m in the process of working with my aunt and cousin on my baby shower, I was pulling inspiration, and thought it would be a nice time to finally share my bridal shower. Sorry, if this seems super out of date, but everything came out so beautiful, it seems foolish not to share the images with you.
As mentioned yesterday, we’ve officially started on the nursery. I’m super excited for the whole process and can’t wait until everything starts to come together. A reader made a comment about us already having the crib up, which I guess seems early to her. I just figure, we have the time now, so why not get started. I’m a planner and I hate waiting until the last minute, so we’re going to get as much done as possible. Less stress and who knows how I’ll be feeling in the last trimester. Since I’m right in the middle of it and pieces are starting to trickle in (the rug arrives today!) I thought I’d share our modern nursery inspiration with you.
Happy Monday, friends! How was your weekend? We didn’t necessarily have a ton of things on our schedule, but we were randomly busy. We’re starting to get down to business on getting organized with all things baby. We told ourselves we’d start once we got back from the Bay Area, and let’s just say, there’s a lot. We have to plan our California baby shower in October, get the registry down, start the nursery, plan content for the upcoming holiday season, figure out our blog/work schedule once baby gets here, okay I can go on and on. I’m hoping by staying busy up until baby D gets here, I’ll be less anxious for her to get here (yes, I’m already like, I want to meet you, lol).
It’s official, there’s only 2 more days to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! Can you believe it’s almost over? For those of you sick of hearing about it, it’s your lucky day because it’s my last sale post. I will say, this has been my favorite Nordstrom sale to date. I got so many great basics I’ll be taking into fall and winter. I discovered new brands I love (Halogen, Caslon, and Kut from the Kloth) and scored a ton of petite pieces (these jeans, these tunics, this poncho).
I’m always excited to shop for outerwear, but most oftentimes I’m let down because of fit. I’m telling you, petites have the hardest time finding coats and jackets that work for small frames. I didn’t have a ton of luck while shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – some I bought and tried on were way too big and others I waited too long and they sold out (I should have snagged this one in the nutmeg color). I did score 2 that I’m obsessed with and one I’ve had for a year. All petite-friendly and all of them I would recommend jumping on because they’re still in-stock!
I’ve been so caught up with picking out pieces for my fall wardrobe during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I totally forgot about all the great beauty products. I’m not a huge beauty person, especially since I’ve been pregnant, but there’s still some great things worth sharing (many of them I already own).
As promised, I did some research and I’m sharing all my favorite fall essentials that are still in-stock from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. While some days it appears all the good stuff is gone, other days, it seems like everything has been restocked. As I’ve mentioned throughout the sale, make sure you’re checking the website throughout the day/week because your size is bound to come back.
