The Best Barely-There Sandals

* I want to take a moment to acknowledge what’s going on in the world. I know the majority of us are dealing with fear, stress, anxiety, and sadness during these uncertain times. I’m right there with you and I’m  trying to navigate it the best I can. With that being said, I want to use this platform as a way to connect and maybe provide a little distraction from all the heaviness. Know that we’re all in this together and we’re doing our best.

Spring sandals Nordstrom

Have you started shopping for spring sandals yet? I know it will be a while before we start wearing them in the PNW, but I’m not going to lie, I’ve already started collecting. Shoes are always one of the first pieces I turn to to help transition my wardrobe – you can swap out boots for sandals while still getting wear out of your jeans and sweaters from winter. Of all the spring sandals, barely-there sandals are my favorite trend this season and Nordstrom has the best selection! I love that they come in so many shapes and styles and they’re so flattering on any frame. Below, I’m sharing my favorite styles and showing you how to wear them.

While styling dresses last year, I found myself wanting a pair of sandals with a heel, but that wasn’t overly dressy or high. I like to wear flat sandals a lot, but for some of those dresses, it’s nice to have a little height. I wasn’t able to really find anything I loved at the time, but then I saw a blogger wear a strappy sandal with a very short heel. She wore them with jeans, dresses, and shorts and in that moment, I realized that style could work on me. Of course, once I saw what I wanted, the shoes couldn’t be found anywhere. Luckily, barely-there sandals are a huge trend this year and all brands are making their version of them. When I found these Jared Ankle Strap Sandals from Marc Fisher at Nordstrom, I knew these could be the ones (that I saw last year). The nude leather was an added bonus. I absolutely love that these are a casual dressy sandal (if that makes sense). They’re so versatile – dress them up or down, with jeans or a dress – and they’re easy to walk in. They take some time to break in the straps (I wore thin socks to wear them in), but once you wear them in, they’re perfect. The barely-there style is already super flattering, but the nude color makes them even more elongating. I can’t wait to wear these with shorts or a dress!

I’m trying on a few more barely-there sandal styles below.
