I’ve been mentioning these Topshop vintage style jeans a lot lately, so I figured, why not do an entire review. I don’t know the exact date, but ever since the end of summer, I’ve been really into  jeans that are high waisted with more of a straight leg. I’ve been doing skinny jeans for SO long, it’s a nice change of pace for me. Who knows, I may look back in a couple months, and hate it, but for now, it’s my jam. With that being said, these said style of jeans aren’t the easiest thing to find for a petite girl. The struggle has been real.

Obviously, the second I saw these Topshop raw hem straight leg jeans on nordstrom.com, I purchased them. Topshop jeans tend to always sell out in small sizes, so I knew I had to swoop them up fast. I had a feeling these may run small, so on a whim, I ordered a 25 and luckily, they fit perfectly in the waist. They ran long, but since they’re a raw hem, I was able to cut some of the length off. The medium blue wash with no fade is really reminiscent of the vintage style jeans you’ve been seeing. These do run slightly looser than the Topshop step hem straight leg jeans, which I recently purchased as well. This may be because I ordered them in a petite 25, but not 100% sure. I’ve heard people say high waisted jeans are both uncomfortable or super comfortable, and these happen to be the latter. I still have to pull the waist up when I sit, but other than that, these are some of my favorite jeans at the moment.

The petite step hem straight leg jeans I mentioned above are awesome as well (worn here). I didn’t have to do any cutting on these whatsoever, the length fit perfectly. I also ordered these in a 25, and while they fit perfectly, they are a little more snug than the raw hem jeans above. I really love the light wash, although I’ve found they’re harder to wear than the medium wash. I’ve always struggled with styling light wash jeans… they don’t go with as many colors, or something… maybe it’s just me. Anyway, these are a great option for those of you looking for high waisted vintage style jeans.

Lastly, I recently ordered the Levi’s Wedgie Icon jeans in black (per a reader’s recommendation) and love these as well. I ordered my normal size, 24, but they’re a bit too snug, so I’ll be returning them for a 25. The reviews say they run small, so for those of you thinking about ordering, size up. I would say the Wedgie Icon’s have a more tapered leg than the Topshop jeans, so if you’re not completely into straight legs, these are a great option.

If you know of any vintage style jeans that are petite friendly, I’d love to hear about them!
