My Wardrobe: Spring / Summer Shoes

Spring summer shoes

Shoes are usually the first thing I gravitate toward when the seasons change. It’s my favorite way to transition my wardrobe, if you will. The only problem, I tend to go overboard. I buy way too many shoes and don’t end up wearing or liking them all. This year I told myself, invest in handful and wear them to death. Don’t buy every trend and go with the classics. Also, I wanted to make sure I chose colors that go with my summer color scheme. Black, cognac, white, and tan – sounds about right! It’s probably too early to call it, but I think I’ve found my rotation (with an exception to 2 pairs. Stay tuned for those). We’ll see if I can hold myself accountable and not go overboard this spring and summer.

Nike Mariah sneakers

Nike Mariah Sneakers 5 – Hands down my favorite sneakers of all time. I know I say that A LOT (like every new pair I get), but these take the cake. So flattering (they make your feet look so small) and chic and this color is gorgeous. I’m usually a black sneaker gal, but I love the light nude/beige for spring and summer. I will be wearing these with jeans, denim cut offs, and athleisure wear. I’m not sure I would work out in these, but definitely great for every day wear and running errands.

Madewell Outstock multi strap sandals

Madewell Boardwalk Multi Strap Sandal 5 – I look to Madewell every spring and summer for sandals. They really have the best selection for the price. I have a pair of leather cognac sandals from them that I’ve worn to death. When I saw these in this natural leather color I had to have them. I have a bunch of natural colored bags that these pair so perfectly with. They’re comfortable right out of the box and super flattering on the ankle. As with all Madewell sandals that I’ve tried so far, they run TTS.

Hermes Oran Sandals dupes

Hermes Oran Sandals 5 (see this post for Hermes Oran Dupes) – Of course, I LOVE these. They’re so classic, flattering, and I love the color. For reference, they seem to run big. The 5’s are slightly long and wide in the strap. If I were to purchase another pair, I would go with a 4.5. With all that being said, I have a feeling I will live in these. The classic tan color goes with everything in my closet and they’re super comfortable.

Madewell tote

Joie sandals 5 – Can you tell I’m obsessed with natural tan this season? I can’t wait to color coordinate all my outfits (so nerdy, lol). BTW, color coordinating is a great way to take the stress out of getting dressed. Anyway, these slide sandals are super comfortable and versatile. Since they don’t have any ankle straps, they help elongate your legs. They’re such a simple yet chic pair of sandals.

Soludos sneakers 5 – I never in a million years thought I would be a white sneaker girl. After wearing my Golden Goose sneakers to death, I completely changed my mind (every time I write something off, I end up liking it lol). And I couldn’t resist these. I pop of tan matches my spring/summer wardrobe so well. They’re also super comfortable, the leather is already broken in and so soft. I will be living in these!

Goldengoose sneakers

Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers 5 – I feel like I already got my money’s worth with these. I have been wearing them non-stop – they’re comfortable and just so easy to wear. They really elevate your everyday jeans and tee shirt. I find these to run slightly big. I would have gone with a 4.5 if they offered it. Pricey, but I gone mine on sale and have no regrets. If you’re a sneaker person and looking for a pair to elevate your looks, these are a great option!

Madewell black sandals

Madewell Boardwalk Multi Strap Sandal 5 – Because I loved these in natural leather so much, I got them in black as well. I get so excited about white, tan, and nude in the spring/summer, I always forget about black. I always regret not having a go-to pair of black sandals, so I snatched these up early before they sell out. Now I just need to find a black summer bag to rock with them.
