Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine involved a whole lot of cleaning and organizing my office. This office has been a huge process. It will be two years of living in this space come November, and no, this room is not complete yet! I can admit it, I’m horrible at finishing home decor projects. The good news, we bought, built, and DIY’d all of the big stuff and the room is near complete. The last two pieces to add, a rug and one last print. Pretty good, right? I cannot wait to share the finished product! I also cleaned out more of my closet. You can shop the new pieces here.

It’s Mike’s last couple of days of spring break, so we’re off on a little day trip today. As always, you can follow along on Instagram. Cheers to a great week, friends!

Where is your shoe shelf with the doors from, in your office? Loving the styling of the space!

Thank you! It’s a Ikea Billy bookcase hack. I added glass doors (which they have at Ikea) and brass handles (from Home Depot)

have a fab trip with Mike and Lola!
We did similar tasks this weekend as well. We are definitely in organization mode! We recently purchased some new things to help organize better and also doing DIY improvements to the space. It’s tiresome but, exciting. it makes me feel like I can be home without feeling uncomfortable in the way it looks or the way it is organized. The little things right? =D

I did the same exact thing about a year ago: using a Billy bookcase with the accompanying Ikea glass doors as a “shoecase!” The problem I had was that my shoes started growing some mold! I was very diligent about cleaning my shoes (short of washing them) before putting them back. I guess the doors closed didn’t allow for enough ventilation. Do you have the same problem? It could just be that it’s just too humid here in Seattle for my “shoecase” to work.

Thanks so much for sharing! I will keep an eye on this and maybe leave a door open every once in a while to make sure there’s enough ventilation :)

    Gorgeous photos, as always.

I’m so bad at finishing projects like this too, so I understand. It’s that initial burst of inspiration, and then I don’t know what happens.

You’re really making me crave pizza….so it’s a good thing I’m going for lunch tomorrow :)
