Weekend Recap 17

Wow, what a weekend! Technically, we’ve been in weekend mode since Wednesday, so it definitely feels like it’s been a minute. We were in Washington from Wed-Fri at Alderbrook Resort & Spa. Gorgeous grounds and it was like we had the whole place to ourselves – more on our stay later this week. We made it back home just in time for family night on Saturday and a BBQ in my aunt’s neighborhood on Sunday. The weather has been nothing short of amazing. Quite warm, but it officially feels like summer and who can complain about that!

Saturday we got the whole family together to head to a new-to-us Korean restaurant. Mike and I used to meet up with my parents every other week for Korean food when we lived in the Bay Area. I think we’ve maybe had it once since moving to Oregon (yikes!). So, it was good to fill our bellies with some familiar food. I thought it was really good, although not in the best area. We then headed to Late Shake, which I found on Instagram a couple weeks ago. The concept is just genius. It’s like grown up shakes available only at night. It’s a pop up shop of sorts located at Dapper and Wise coffee shop. They’re open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7pm-11pm. The flavors are all very sophisticated and I want to say they use good ingredients. The best part, all their shakes can be made dairy-free! P.s. they will make a basic chocolate shake for you (these were a hit with my high school cousins). My cashew milk mocha shake was AMAZING. If you’re on the East side near Division, you must check it out!

Sunday we played it easy in the morning. My allergies were out of control, so I laid in bed until noon sneezing my life away. I ended up taking a Claritin (I hate taking any kind of medication) and managed to get up and run some errands. We then headed to my aunt’s neighborhood BBQ for Memorial Day festivities.

Monday we kept things very low key. Worked a little, hit the gym, and then met up with my aunt for Thai food. We ended the night watching the Bachelorette… Can I just say, I love 3 day weekends. That extra day is everything and you even get a short work week. More of those please!

How was your weekend?
