Weekend Recap 29

Happy Tuesday! How was your long weekend? We stayed local and endured the 100 degree heat. Thankfully, it doesn’t get super hot until later in the day here, so you’re able to at least get out of the house and run some errands in the mornings. I’m was also super okay with staying inside, catching up on shows, reading, and browsing all the sales online in the AC. At this point in my pregnancy, staying cool and comfortable is my only priority, lol.

The majority of my weekend was consumed by my Closet Sale. I posted 170 new items to my @ShopCrystalinsCloset page on Instagram on Friday and it’s been a success thus far. I packaged orders yesterday, so everything should be going out today (yay!). I’m so excited to make room for a new fall wardrobe, but also just clear out space for Baby D. I can’t handle all the clutter. There’s still a ton of good stuff left. If you haven’t checked out the sale yet, have a looksies here.

I ran a couple errands with my aunt on Saturday and had to stop in at two of my favs, Blue Star Donuts and Kure Juice Bar. Talk about cravings for two opposites, lol. I also hunted down the tan leather mules from Madewell. They are backordered until December in my size on the website and stores don’t normally carry size 5. I called around and they actually had one pair at my local store. Talk about my lucky day! I’m obsessed to say the least! These days, I’m all about flats and I love the shape and color of these. Super classic and extremely versatile for fall. I was actually scouring the internet for new fall pieces and some maternity styles all weekend long. I”m not going to lie, shopping has been tough these days. My tops are barely fitting. I thought I could get away with wearing what I have, but my boobs and stomach are just way too big. I’m trying to figure out what maternity items I want to invest in. I don’t want to go overboard because I won’t wear them post pregnancy, but I also want to be comfortable for the next 4 months. The struggle is real. I finally decided to purchase maternity jeans, leggings, and tees and then pair them with new and old regular sized jackets and outerwear pieces. I will keep you posted on how everything fits.

P.s. Sorry for the puppy overload this week. They just got fresh haircuts and they’re looking exceptionally cute. So much smothering going on my end, oops.

Hope you have good short week!

Crystalin, have you looked into Hatch? They’re a great maternity clothing line that carries pieces for before, during, and after pregnancy. While I haven’t had the gift of being pregnant myself (yet!) I heard about this line on another wonderful blog, A Cup of Jo. Thought it might be helpful. :)
