We’re back from Oregon! Despite coming home to my site being down most of the day yesterday, I’m excited to get back to work and the daily grind. Taking time away is ALWAYS nice, especially when it involves family, but it also feels great to get back to your life feeling refreshed and inspired.

This trip we kept things pretty low key. My aunt is usually go-go-go, eat there, see this, do that… but having Lola with us this time around, forced us to slow down, relax, and apparently eat and drink as much as possible. Looking through the photos, it appears, this is all we did. Thank god for walks with Lola and tennis. I shouldn’t be surprised, it happens every time we visit… life of a foodie, I guess!

I’m not sure if you guys know, but I love visiting Oregon (West Linn where my fam lives, Lake Oswego, Portland). You see, if I had my way, I would move there (probably not today, but down the road). It’s so peaceful, quiet, and pretty… it’s just a different lifestyle than the Bay Area and I LOVE it. Mike is not so keen on the rain… he always reminds me it rains 80% of the year there, haha. I don’t love the idea of this either, but weather shmeather, I could get used to it. I think us Californians are too spoiled in the weather department…

I hope you’re having a great week so far! I’ll be sharing the rest of the photos from our trip tomorrow and doing my best to catch up on all your blogs =)
