1 Item Multiple Ways: White Button Down Shirt
A good white button-down is a wardrobe staple for any season, but I find it’s an especially versatile piece in the summer (especially when you’re pregnant). I honestly don’t think I realized how versatile a white button was until now. Yes, everyone says to have one in your closet, but I just never gravitated toward them. They always seemed a little stiff and very work-appropriate. Well, that’s officially changed and I’m so excited to embrace the white button down this summer. I’ve rounded up 5 ways I’m styling it for summer:
The first rule of thumb when it comes to the white button down, find one that’s versatile, comfortable, and oversized. You want it to look effortless, but not sloppy. This AYR The Deep End Oxford is such an elevated classic. I love that it’s 100% cotton, perfectly oversized, and features one large pocket. Finding the right shirt will change the way you feel about the button down. This one is fitted, but oversized. It works well on it’s own, layered, and as cover up. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m here for the button down and biker short look… not only is it comfortable and practical for my pregnant belly, but it’s actually chic. It really brings that sporty, athleisure vibe to the next level.
