I had been thinking about pulling the trigger on white pumps for a while. They’re not a color I’d normally gravitate toward when it comes to shoes, but the more I saw them the more I loved them, especially for spring. Since I wasn’t completely sure how they would work with the rest of my closet or if I’d like them in person, I didn’t want to invest right away. White pumps are tricky. They can look cheap and unflattering depending on the fabric and cut, so I wanted to make sure I did my research.
After doing some browsing I decided on the Jessica Simpson Claudette pump. First and foremost, I’ve never owned (or wanted to own) a pair of Jessica Simpson pumps. I don’t know what it is, but I just figured they weren’t my thing. Well, it turns out I love them! The size 5 fits so much better than most brands, they have a good amount of padding in the foot bed, and they’re affordable. The 4” heel and textured material is what really sold me. I used to go with a heel height that was comfortable (somewhere in the 3” area), but I’ve noticed a 4” heel makes the biggest difference for my short legs. Let’s be honest, I need all the help I can get!
My only complaint is that the shoe is mostly made up of synthetic materials. But, I guess you get what you pay for, right? Otherwise, if you’re on a budget, but looking to update your shoe collection with spring colors, I would definitely recommend the Claudette from Jessica Simpson. I already have them in taupe as well!
