Comfort is Key

One thing I’ve noticed while getting older and understanding my style a little more is that I rarely sacrifice comfort. No matter how many times I throw on a skirt, most of the time I swap it out for a pair of jeans before I leave the house. Don’t get me wrong, I do like to step out of my comfort zone every now and then, but most of the time, I’m shopping for pieces I know I’ll love and wear for a very long time. Also, I think comfort gets mistaken a lot of times for not-put-together or sloppy AND I hate that! For me comfort is about oversized sweaters/sweatshirts, leggings, soft tees, favorite jeans, and now sneakers. Who said that can’t be chic? I’m a firm believer you never ever have to sacrifice comfort (and who wants to, really?!)… there’s always a way to make it work!
As much as I know the sneaker trend will come and go, I think I might be on to something. Honestly, it’s comfort at it’s comfiest, especially during these colder months!
P.s. I’m not sure if you can tell, but I’m having a moment with these drapey sweaters and jackets… they’re just so cozy!
