I had been anti-wedges for a long time. I used to wear them more, but once I saw them on me in photos, I hated the way they photographed. The wedge almost felt too overwhelming on my frame. Like the length of the wedge was a long as my legs (okay, I’m being dramatic). Last month I got over my fear and tried the Marc Fisher Adalyn platform wedge and didn’t hate it at all. In fact, they helped elongate my legs (shocker!). Since I love the idea of wedges, giving you height without sacrificing comfort, I thought I’d give these Marc Fisher Randall sandals a try. I love, love the color and they’re so comfortable. Initially I thought, there’s too much wedge, but then also saw how they make me look 9ft tall with legs for days. Perhaps it’s a mental thing. Regardless, my fear of wedges is over and I can officially say I own 2 pairs now. Who knows, I could go the complete opposite and go on a wedge binge… sounds like something I would do.

On a side note, this Banana Republic skirt is all kinds of amazing. The jacquard texture and embroidered detail keep it interesting and the color is perfect for spring. Definitely a versatile piece that will be on heavy rotation. For reference, I’m wearing a petite 00 (comes in regular as well).
