Fall Staples from Nordstrom
As mentioned several times already, I’m so ready for fall. We’ve actually had really nice weather this week, so I wouldn’t mind a couple more weeks of summer, but I’m just so darn excited for fall and everything that comes with it. I’ve always said fall was my favorite, but the older I get, the more I realize, nothing really compares to fall and the holiday season. It’s such a magical time of year and let’s face it, the fashion is the best! I’m going to do a more detailed post on my fall fashion must-haves in a couple weeks, but today I want to share some of the fall pieces I picked up from Nordstrom as well as what I’m looking forward to wearing once the temps cool down.

Back in the day I had my moment with distressed/rocker/graphic tees, but I slowly moved away from them. But, my love for them has reemerged. They’re just so carefree and they’re the perfect piece to dress down any outfit. Pair them with distressed jeans like I did, rock them with leggings and a cardigan, or throw it on with denim cut offs or even a skirt. They’re actually more versatile than you realize. I’m wondering if my new ‘mom’ attitude is welcoming even more casual and comfortable pieces into my wardrobe… regardless, I think rocker tees are super chic and I can’t wait to experiment and see how many ways I can wear this one. I’m wearing an xs and it’s more fitted than I like for a tee, so I’m actually going to exchange it for a small.

I’m such a sucker for military jackets, especially once fall hits. They’re the perfect lightweight jacket to throw over any outfit. I also love the way they toughen up your look. The muted green pairs well with denim, black denim, leggings, and even dresses – so yes, super versatile. I originally bought the Madewell Catskills jacket during the Anniversary Sale, but exchanged it for the Fleet jacket. This one fits better, I love the large collar and overall look of it more than the Catskills jacket. I hadn’t found a military jacket I completely loved since the one I ordered from ebay back in the day, so I’m excited to reach for this one all fall. I’m wearing an xxs and it fits perfectly oversized.

Black Distressed Jeans
One of my favorite things to wear in the fall, black distressed skinny jeans. Black distressed jeans are my go-to jeans in the fall and winter. There’s so many ways to wear them and the black distressing combo is a great way to look pulled together, but still have an edge. While they’re one of the pieces I’m most looking forward to wearing come September, I’m going to have to find some maternity options. These Rag & Bone jeans are my absolute favorite, I actually recently bought another pair while they were on sale. But, they’re definitely getting way too tight, lol. If you’re in the market for black distressed jeans, I couldn’t recommend these more!

Loafers are still going strong and I’m even more excited about them this year. Considering I’ll either be full on pregnant or in mom mode, I have a feeling I’ll be living in comfy loafers. I happen to love the mule style because they’re easy to slip on and they’re less likely to give me blisters on my heels. If you’re looking to add more menswear inspired pieces to your wardrobe, loafers are an easy and subtle way to do so. I happen to love the way they polish off your look and make you look more pulled together. I love my Kristin Cavallari mules, which have proven to be a closet staple and oh so comfortable. My Gucci Princetown loafers will be on major repeat too. A splurge for sure, but they’re a statement piece without being flashy and super comfortable. Nordstrom has a ton of affordable loafer options right now. I’m sharing my favorites below.
