My Favorite Boots for Fall

MY FAVORITE FALL BOOTS

I’ve been on a bit of a boot binge as of late and I don’t know if I can stop myself. Ever since moving to Oregon, my boot collection has grown exponentially. And to think, I didn’t think I could pull off ankle booties…(what was I thinking all those years ago?). Boy have times changed and in the best way possible. There’s so many styles out there and each one goes with different outfits and creates a whole different vibe.

Since it is boot season, I thought it would be helpful to go through some of my favorite boots for fall and give you the rundown on how to style them and why I love them so much.

Topshop moto boots

Topshop moto ankle boots

These are at the top of my list for favorites boots right now. I had no expectations when I ordered these and they’ve been such a pleasant surprise. I was nervous they would be too bulky, but they look great with black jeans and leggings. They’re so chic and tough, they instantly make me feel confident. They’re also super comfortable too! For those days you want to wear all black, these are a nice pop. Wearing a 4.5 and they fit like a 5.

Marc Fisher yale boots

Marc Fisher Yale Booties

These are a favorite from last year and I’ve been wearing them non-stop already. They’re super comfortable and great to walk around in for long periods of time. They look great with black jeans and leggings, but also straight jeans as well. The pointed toe style will always elevate your look, which is why I reach for these so much. The easy on and off slip style is also super convenient. Run TTS.

Everlane the boss boot

These are very similar to my Marc Fisher booties above, but I couldn’t resist them. I figured, I wear the MF booties so much, these were a nice upgrade. I love the pebbled leather, stacked heel, and skinnier shaft. Take my word, these are so freaking CHIC! And if you’ve been debating getting them, GET THEM. I’m obsessed. The quality is spot on and they’re super comfortable. Run TTS.

Steve Madden Lombard Bootie

Steve Madden Sock Booties

I was super excited about these considering sock booties are one of the hottest trends this season. Unfortunately, they ran really big and there’s no support in the ankle, so my foot kept coming up with every step. I do love the look of them – a comfortable chunky heel mixed with a silky sock material. These look great with dresses, skirts, and straight legged jeans. In case you’re looking for a sock bootie to rock this fall, here are a couple more options you may have better luck with: Jeffery Campbell Siren bootie, Dolce Vita Elana bootie, Tony Bianco Diddy bootie, or Linea Paola Bobby boot.

Sam Edelman chelsea boots

Sam Edelman Chelsea Boots

These were an end-of-last-year purchase and I’m happy to report, they’re on sale at Nordstrom Rack right now. They come in the this brown/tan color as well as black. I absolutely love the shape of these Chelsea boots. The shaft is extremely narrow, which happens to be super flattering, but it does take some muscle to get them on. If anything, I would say size up. If you’re not big on the pointed toe style boot, these are a nice alternative.

Stuart Weitzman Over the Knee Boots

I have a black heeled pair as well as a tan/brown flat pair and I love them both. OTK boots are great in the fall when the weather is still more mild and you can pair them with dresses. It’s just a nice change of pace from wearing ankle booties all the time and gives off a completely different vibe. I find that SW OTK boots run large and have them both in a 4.5.

Marc Fisher over the knee boots

Marc Fisher Yenna Over the Knee Boots

If you’re not looking to splurge on OTK boots, these are a great alternative. I will say, they look best in the black color (the other lighter colors come off as cheap to me). The material is thinner and the quality isn’t all that great, but they do the trick. They’re comfortable, the pointed toe is a nice touch, and they’re easy to get on and off. They’re form fitting to your legs and have simple ties in the back. And just an FYI, shafts on all OTK boots slip down. No matter if you splurge or save. Run TTS
