Last Saturday I had the pleasure of escaping work and wedding planning for a girls trip to Napa with the Bare Minerals team from Live in the Vineyard. I was initially hesitant to go because I have so much on my plate, but a day off drinking wine and hanging out with my girls was exactly what I needed. The blog scene can be exhausting, catty, and cliquey, but it can also be inspiring, motivating, and so much fun. Being around like-minded women who understand what goes into blogging and social media and share similar experiences is something I don’t take for granted. What a lot of people don’t realize is that bloggers are regular people who have lives outside of Instagram and Snapchat (well kinda). We talk about bad reality tv, breakups, our love of Drake, and dance around to 90’s pop music. It’s more about making real life connections with people who just happen to love Instagram as much as you do.
