My Postpartum Wardrobe Picks

One of the few things I want to do differently with this pregnancy experience is preparing myself a little better for the 4th trimester. You hear a lot about rest, napping when baby naps, and have friends/family help with meals – which are all GREAT. But, with Harper I was super unprepared with the right clothes for that first month postpartum. I wore the same, unflattering, not special Henleys tees everyday for what felt like forever. I also squeezed myself into jeans, which was tough since I had a c-section (what was I thinking?). Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been slowly acquiring cute postpartum pieces that will not only work on my changing body, but will make me feel good as well.

This set is from Rails and I can’t rave about it enough. The color initially got me, but after trying it on, I didn’t want to take it off. It’s soft and stretchy and really makes lounge wear feel luxe. I love that the pants work on my petite frame, too! I’ll be lounging around the house quite a bit for those first couple of months and sets like these will be an instant mood booster. I’m wearing an xs in both the top and bottom.

I’m sharing a few more pieces I picked up from Nordstrom to help me prepare for the 4th trimester. All of these are non-maternity and I couldn’t recommend them more even if you’re not pregnant/just had a baby.

Treasure & Bond Rib Henley xs – I’m obsessed with this top! The buttons are too high for breast-feeding, which was my initial intention with this top, but it’s so good, I don’t even care, lol. It’s soft, stretchy, and perfectly oversized. It does run big, so you may want to size down. I love a good collar situation and this one is good!

Treasure & Bond Thermal Henley xs – This thermal henley fits really well! It’s more of a nicer henley, so you could easily wear this out. It has oversized, billowy, sleeves which is a fun detail. The buttons are long enough for this top to be nursing-friendly.

Frank & Eileen Popover Henley xs – This henley was super unexpected. It’s like an elevated white tee… I love a good collar, so you know I’m into this top. It has raw hems on the wrist and bottom of the shirt, which really gives it that cool vibe. It runs oversized, too, which is perfect for the 4th trimester.

BP Henley xs – This is super soft and nursing-friendly. It does run cropped, though.

Ugg Fleece Robe xs – This was sent to be during the NAS and I was so surprised at how luxe it was. It has more of a long cardigan feel than a robe. It’s so thick and warm, which will be perfect for postpartum in the winter here.

Nordstrom Short Waffle Robe xs – This robe is petite-friendly which for robes is a big deal, lol. This will be great to throw on throughout the day. Love the waffle detail, too!

Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
