Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Early Access: Try On Session With Items Still In Stock
Happy Wednesday! I’m sharing some try-on’s from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for you guys. I tried only sharing pieces that were in-stock as of yesterday. Of course as I post today, there’s already pieces that are nearly sold out. I highly recommend checking the site often because people return all the time and all of a sudden you’ll see your size. I hope this helps with your shopping. Let me know if you have any questions.
Something Navy Puff Sleeve Tee xs – I’m all about puff sleeves right now and I wish this one was puffier on the shoulders. I do like the fitted half sleeve, though. I have the xs in both white and black, but I like my tees a little looser, so I would go up a size.
All Saints Daisy Tee xs – One of my favorite purchases from the sale so far. I know you’re thinking, another stripe tee, who cares. Well, you’re right. But, I happen to wear stripe tees all the time, so I know I will wear this a ton. Black stripes seem to be the most versatile for me especially going into fall. You can dress this up or down, the xs fits perfectly oversized, and it’s super soft and comfy. It has an asymmetrical hem, but since I tuck my tees in, that’s not a huge issue for me.
Marc Fisher Yakira OTK Boots 5 – My boots are from 3 years ago, so these are the updated version. The only difference I’m seeing is the new boots don’t have laces to tie the top of the boot. I actually prefer the new version because the laces can be annoying (they come untied). For reference, these are my go-to affordable flat OTK boots. I have Stuart Weitzman OTK boots which are my absolute favorite, but for a fraction of the price, these are a great deal. I would recommend sticking to black with these because the other colors can look a little cheap in person. They run TTS and comfortable without any breaking in.
Vince Mixed Cable Wool & Cashmere Blend Sweater xxs – Another one of my favorite sale finds so far. I saw this sweater in the Nordstrom Catalog and had to have it. I’m always looking for sweaters like this in the fall and winter and this one is SO GOOD. I love the mock neck, the quality is superb, and the fit is great. I sized down, although if you want more of an oversized fit, I say go with your normal size. This sweater is more of an investment piece, but SO worth it.
Something Navy Flecked Crewneck Sweater xs – I LOVE the fit of this sweater. It’s thin, but the way it sits on my frame is so nice. It’s oversized, but not overwhelming. It does run big. I have the xs and it runs really long. I would love to exchange for an xxs. This color is nearly sold out, but it come sin 4 other colors.
Paige Willa Studded Boot 5 – I normally don’t do studs on my boots, but I LOVE the shape of these boots and had to give them a try. These are the only booties I bought this year. I would NOT wear these with skinny jeans, so if you’re looking for a more versatile boots, I would check these out (super affordable, too). Since I’m short, ankle booties and skinny jeans are tricky. I have to have the right jeans and boots for that combination, so I bought these boots to wear with straight or wide legged jeans. I’m still undecided if they work for me, but I must say, the boots are beautiful. Great quality and comfortable. They do run 1/2 to a full size small, so size up.
Nordstrom Signature Blazer xs – I was really excited to see this in person. The color is SO pretty and perfect for fall. Since it was a regular xs I didn’t have high expectations that it would fit and to no surprise the arms and the length run long. It does fit in the shoulders. With that being said, if you’re 5’3″ to 5’5″, I think you could easily pull this off. The material is on the thin side for the price. But, blazers are really hard to find, so if this fit, I would have kept it.
Halogen Double Breasted Blazer petite xxs – This blazer is A LOT more pink in-person. Sadly, the print is too loud for me, but the fit is EVERYTHING. Why can’t they make this blazer in every color and print at every store for petites? I love a double breasted blazer- to me they’re more stylish and can be dressed up or down. This one is also perfectly oversized, but not overwhelming. Now that I’m looking, Halogen does have this blazer in another plaid color, black, blue, and red. Sadly, the gray plaid is sold out (which I totally looked pass when I initially shopped) and I already have a black blazer (although I’m really temped to try this one). If you’re in the market for a not so plain blazer, I would check these out. The fit is fantastic!
Bernardo Puffer Jacket petite xs – If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love Bernardo puffer coats. I always try to get a new one during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Do I need anymore, no, but they always have new styles or colors that suck me in. And, I live in the PNW, so I get a ton of wear out of theses jackets. Of all the jackets, I think I love this new one the most. The large collar coupled with the hood make this one extra stylish. And the light gray is so pretty. Bernardo petite puffer coats are hands down my favorite brand of puffer coats. The fit is awesome and they hold up really well. If you’re in the market, I would highly recommend checking these out. See some old posts styling my Bernardo jackets here and here.
Topshop Straight Leg Jeans petite 25 – Hands down one of my favorite purchases from the sale. I had a feeling these would fit because I have several petite Topshop jeans, but I love these way more than I thought I did. I didn’t have to cut them, which is already a win. But, they also look great with heels and flats and go with everything in my closet. My other Topshop jeans are straight, high-waisted, but taper more toward the ankles. These are a true straight jean. There’s still some petite sizes left – jump on them! I size up in Topshop jeans, so I’m wearing a 25.
Halogen Leopard Loafers 4.5 – Wasn’t expecting much with these, but I love the look of them. They look a lot more elevated in-person, especially for the price. I like to size down in loafers (because my feet are tiny), but I would say they run TTS. I love the way they look on my feet, too! The calf hair is very subtle (almost smooth looking).
Zella Live In 7/8 Leggings xs – I have a handful of Zella 7/8 or midi leggings and these are hands down my favorite. The high waist is my favorite part (suck you in and comfortable), but I also really LOVE the pockets. I use the pockets for my phone at the gym, so this is a huge added bonus. The length is also perfect for petites. If you’re looking for thicker leggings for the fall and winter or workout leggings, these are a must-have in my opinion.
Nike Flyknit sneakers 5.5 – I didn’t know what to expect with these since there wasn’t a ton of pictures online. But, I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. They’re very low profile (so lots of ankle exposed), I love the two tone (although looks like 3 with the top looking more gray), and they fit really nice. Reviews say they run small, but I find I need to go up a half size in all my Nike sneakers. So I ordered my normal size with Nike and they fit me perfectly. I just looked yesterday and sizes were still in-stock and of course today there’s only 2 sizes left :(.
Nike Essential Pullover xs – If you don’t have one of these Nike hoodies, now’s your chance to get it on sale. These are so comfortable and easy to throw on. I bought the black and light gray (still waiting for it to arrive) in an xs. These are all fully stocked. Great to wear with athleisure outfits, at home to lounge around in, to run errands, and to the gym. One of my go-to’s!
L’Agence High Waisted Jeans 24 – This was my first time trying this brand and I was surprised by the fit. I only have them rolled under about 2 inches, so they’re not that long. If you’re a little taller than me, these could hit you at the ankle. They run TTS, I’m wearing the 24 and they fit really nice. The denim is very soft, stretchy, and comfortable. I do wish the denim was a little tighter all around. I’m wondering if after a few wears, they stretch out. Does anyone else own this brand? In general though, these are really flattering with the high waist.
Marc Fisher Zurri Loafer 5 – These are so classic for fall (I ordered them in 3 colors, that’s how good they are). I typically don’t buy loafers (only mules) because my feet are small and every shoe gives me blisters. These do run a little bit big on me, but I want to show you different ways to style them in case you’re interested in purchasing them. I would say they run TTS (I have small feet). I love the pointed toe and how simple they are. Marc Fisher is one of my favorite affordable shoe brands. I’ll be styling these loafers throughout the sale, so stay tuned.
Halogen Wool & Cashmere Cardigan petite xxs – I totally thought this was going to be floor length aka a duster. Boy was I wrong. I can’t decide if this length is flattering on me or not. Lately, I’ve only been liking duster style cardigans because everything else is not as flattering. But, since the cardigan is fitted on the arms and doesn’t have a ton of material, I think it can still work. It’s not overwhelming, you know?
Avec Les Filles Camo Jacket xs – This is the one that got away. I initially ordered the xxs, but my ordered got canceled because it was sold out. I ordered the xs knowing it probably wouldn’t fit, but still had hope. Sadly, it’s too big. But, I LOVE it so much. It’s so chic and different. This camo denim jacket. It’s thick and warm and perfect for fall. If they have this in your size and you like camo (or they have it in a rust color), order it NOW. It’s so good! I would say, size down a full size.
