Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Purchases, Reviews, and Sizing Details

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to the public! Time to shop til you drop. As mentioned in my previous posts, there’s so many great fall pieces at ridiculously low prices, you’re in for a treat. This post is a lot to take in, so if you have any questions about fit or styling, let me know in the comments. BP. lace-up hooded sweater – I LOVE this hooded sweater. It runs oversized, but it’s perfect for the style and look. I’m wearing an xxs, so I would definitely say size down. If you don’t mind an oversized fit, go with your normal size. It’s super soft, not itchy, and I love it’s versatility. I can even start wearing it now with denim shorts.

Halogen lace-up flats in calf hair – Let me start off by saying these lace-up flats are the BEST! For the price, they can’t be beat and the best part, they’re so incredibly comfortable. If you’ve been meaning to pick up a pair of lace-up flats, I couldn’t recommend these more! The calf hair print may just be my favorite color. The print is black and white making them versatile. I love the nude laces, giving the illusion that there’s nothing there. They fit TTS and are incredibly comfortable. These are going to be on major repeat for the fall.

Halogen lace-up flats in chestnut – I love the color of these! For someone who wears a ton of nude, brown, camel, and tan, I know I’ll have plenty of opportunities to wear them. As far as the color, they’re darker than they show online. TTS and incredibly comfortable.

Halogen lace-up flats in blush – Comfortable right out of the box and TTS just like the other colors. I wanted these to be a nude blush, but they’re definitely very pink in-person. I’m still debating whether or not to keep them just because I don’t have a ton of pink in my closet. I’m thinking Halogen is bound to come out with nude…

Trouvé Funnel Neck Sleeveless Sweater – I’m obsessed with this sleeveless sweater. The mock neck plus the side slits make this super chic. I’m wearing an xxs and while it’s big, I love the oversized fit. I can’t wait to wear this with skinny jeans and over long sleeve tees and blouses. Check it out in gray as well.

Vince Camuto ‘Feina’ Bootie – These are my favorite ankle booties from the NSale (run TTS). I love the shape and heel height (super comfortable and easy to walk-in). I was slightly disappointed in the color, though. They have more gray tones in-person, making them more of a taupe color rather than khaki. Despite not being my favorite color, I love the style, so I think I’m going to keep them. I have these booties from Louise et Cie coming in the mail. I’ll compare the two to see which one I keep… Knowing me, I’ll probably end up keeping both lol.

Halogen Lace Detail Crewneck Sweater – The second I saw this in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog, I knew I had to get it. I love the contrast sleeve and the fact that it’s lace, I mean… It doesn’t drape as well as most sweaters, so be careful when ordering. You don’t want to size up too much, it may just look frumpy. I tried both a regular xs and petite xs and went with the petite. Loose, but still fitted.

Zella ‘Live In’ leggings – These lived up to all the reviews. Absolutely incredible leggings, so soft, and the fit is awesome. I’m wearing an xxs and they fit everywhere perfectly except the length, but that was a given (rolled under in the photos). I cannot believe the price ($34), I would 100% buy these at full price, they’re that good. They can easily be worn to workout AND with booties and sweaters in the fall. I may have to stock up on these. SO SO good!

Blank NYC moto jacket – This is definitely one of my favorite NSale finds. I’m such a sucker for moto jackets and this one is pretty awesome. It’s fully lined and has a great weight. The suede is super on-trend for fall and I love the color. While the sleeves run a little long on this xs, the shoulders and length work nicely on my petite frame.

Treasure & Bond boyfriend jeans – These are another favorite NSale purchase. At just under $66 these jeans are a steal! They’re the perfect light wash and the distressing is on point. I wouldn’t say they’re 100% boyfriend jeans, though. I ordered my normal size, 24, and while they’re not tight skinny jeans, they’re not as loose as most boyfriend jeans. I happen to like that, but I would recommend sizing up one size for a traditional bf fit.

Socialite knit tank, Halogen belted cardigan, One Teaspoon shorts, Soludos espadrilles

Socialite knit tank – Definitely a NSale surprise. I never would have gravitated toward this color, but it’s the BEST. It pairs so nicely with my tan/camel dominate wardrobe. On top of the great color, it’s SO soft and drapes beautifully. I’m wearing an xs and it fits oversized. Warning you now, I’ll be wearing this a ton.

Halogen long belted cardigan – I ordered this cardigan to compare it to the popular BP. open front cardigan. The petite xxs fits extremely well. The BP. cardigan runs extremely oversized (see me try it on here), but for those on the smaller side, this is a great option. It has two side slits and can be belted. Super lightweight and slightly sheer.

Chloe & Katie embroidered top – I initially spotted this top in black, tried both on, and decided to go with the cream. I love the flowy style, high neck, and embroidered details. The xs fits a little big, but the style of the shirt works well with the oversized fit. You can’t beat the price, plus the neutral color tone will help transition the top to fall really easily. Sizes are nearly all sold out, but be sure to check back as I’ve noticed Nordstrom restocking items.

T Tahari wrap coat –  This coat is super luxe. Petite coats that fit TTS are hard to find. I always end up having to tailor mine. The petite xs fits pretty well. The shoulders and length fit nicely, but the arm length and width seem oddly large. Despite the sizing issue, I think I’m going to keep the coat and get the arms tailored. I love the style of the coat so much, getting it tailored seems worth it. I will keep you posted on fit once I make the changes.

Cole Haan Marina OTK boots – My Cole Haan OTK boots from last year are back! They come in grey and black, although the grey on the site looks a little lighter than mine. Regardless, these are awesome boots. The grey is so pretty in-person, they’re great quality, the shaft stays up, and the 3.5 heel height make them ridiculously comfortable. Sizes are selling out fast, so be sure to check them out!
