Our First Snow Day

We snapped these a few weeks ago during our first snow fall as Oregon residents. The Portland area doesn’t really get a lot of snow, so it definitely felt special and to have it right around Christmas time was pretty awesome. It’s one thing to drive or fly out to a ski resort (which is what we normally experience), but waking up to snow right outside your door is exciting. You can imagine us Bay Area people freaking out a bit. We obviously had to get out and throw a couple snowballs. Even the pups had fun rolling around in it.

Luckily I ordered the Sorell Torfino boots just before it snowed. I’m actually surprised with how much I love these boots. They’re warm and comfortable, but most importantly, lightweight. Normally boots like these can be really heavy and hard to walk in, but this is not the case. I went with my normal size and they fit perfectly. They may be a little snug with a thicker sock, so I would recommend either going with your normal size or going up a half size.
